How does this release sound? I'm concerned because MPO has a bad reputation, but maybe someone can shed some light on this particular release.

Hey Alberto,

Just made the investment and I'm listening to side G right now and so far it sounds excellent; in fact more so than some of the other sides. Maybe it varies from copy to copy but mine sounds just fine. Sometimes cheap turntables give you ... See full review

Got a better turntable and no issues. Cheap turntables are cancer.

Why so expensive? Sure this is a decent single, but why over 1000 dollars?

I disagree. I have several Newbury Comics releases and they sound pretty audiophile. However, a few don't.

I have this exact copy. No doubt about it, 180 gram and everything. Just got through with Side 1 and did not experience any surface noise whatsoever. In fact, this is pretty quiet. I guess I got lucky just like another poster. I purchased this in ... See full review

Anybody else have some inner-groove distortion on this one? ?

Is it just me or is there a bit of inner groove distortion on this one?

Great pressing! I didn't hear any static or inner groove distortion on this.

No comments yet? This is a hell of a label. Everything they do seems to be top-notch.

This is a good pressing imho. Three ticks over the course of 10 seconds on the A side but everything is good except for that. Might vary from copy to copy.

The label falls off easily it seems, based on that mine has fallen off and so has someone who is selling this album

I have this album. Inherited from my great uncle. Seems he picked up everything Al Cohn, which isn't bad in the least considering he was a monster player. Surprising how little known this guy ever was; it seems this is the only album he ever made.

Was this pressed the wrong way? I have a copy in VG+ condition with no scratches on the first song and it seems to jump because of deadwax space at seemingly random places on Track A1. That's all I've listened to of the record so far but someone correct ... See full review
