My collection here is not complete in any way. It's more or less random in that I have entered most items here at Discogs while away from home, just trying to remember what I own or entering any recent purchase.

Agreed. I don't understand why tracks 9, 10 and 11 were left of from the vinyl release.

And on the original vinyl releases from 1993 the track "If I Like It, I Do It" is also 2 minutes longer.

Agreed. I'm lucky to have bought the Preacher Preacher 12" with the extended mix on release... Sure would have been a nice addition to this re-release 2xCD.

My copy of this standard LP edition had an annoying scratch on Magic from around 2 minutes to 4 minutes, which caused an audible click during every revolution of the record.
However Townsend Records send out a replacement copy swiftly and it is fine.

Excellent and lovingly crafted remaster on vinyl for 2017 by Gary Langan & Spandau Ballet. You can now hear details you didn't hear on the original vinyl release from 1986 or at least with more clarity, separation. Bottom end, i.e. drums and bass, now ... See full review

Is there anyone who actually has a listenable copy of this 3LP vinyl set? Shouldn't Polar / Universal provide replacements for everyone? Any word on this? The cover and sleeve with all the pics are fine but the pressing is totally screwed up.

Samples or replays the piano melody from Jamiroquai's debut single "When You Gonna Learn" cleverly, which really gives it a lift.

Nice review as a whole.
Although I might disagree somewhat about "the curse of Ultravox" ;)
Bought most of their MkII stuff in the 80's and I must say that Vienna, Rage In Eden (in particular), Quartet are still very listenable. Lament also has its ... See full review

Agree wholeheartedly. Excellent album, which should be released on 2xCD with all related single releases from the same era, including Me and Mr Sanchez.

Really love how good this Diamond special edition remaster sounds. And in my opinion it's worth its price alone by the inclusion of the phenomenal Chant No 1 (Remix), which is track 1-9 on this special edition, originally first included on the Diamond ... See full review

This is one of the better budget Spandau Ballet compilations featuring some rarer tracks such as Gently and Glow. The track selection works well from start to finish, although chronologically it's all over the place. The sleeve notes in the booklet are ... See full review

I wonder why this so-called officially released version of "Original Mix" is only 7:49 in length. BT previewed This Must Be The Love over at Soundcloud before the official release, and the Soundcloud version is 9:52 in length.

Some copies of this release LIBX 2 were apparently mispressed and feature two tracks from Curiosity Killed The Cat (Man and Misfit 7" version) from this release http://www.discogs.com/Curiosity-Killed-The-Cat-Misfit/release/314512 instead of Scales Of ... See full review

The B-side Man With Guitar is actually a stripped down version of the A-side Paint Me Down with the verse vocals still used but without the chorus. It also puts much more emphasis on the rhythm guitar and the percussive elements of the track. Notably the ... See full review

This release features a great version of Instinction redone by Trevor Horn. Mr Horn has given the track a shiny & glossy makeover with a huge ambience. It sounds joyous, brash & bold, quite in line with some of his other productions from the same year ... See full review

Some clever references to Laid Back's 80s club hit "White Horse" can be traced in this BT / Sasha collaboration, for instance in the growling bassline and the groove in general, and of course in the title "Ride", which refers to the chorus -- (Ride A) ... See full review

One could also argue that the collaboration of B.E.F. with Tina Turner on "Ball Of Confusion" was the start of the complete resurrection of her career in the Eighties. Her version of Al Green's "Let's Stay Together" was produced by the B.E.F guys and was ... See full review
