Does anyone know what pressing this is that UDiscover USA store is selling? With green Costello labels? I can't find it here. https://shop.udiscovermusic.com/collections/vinyl/products/elvis-costello-this-years-model-remastered-lp

The notion that Diesel And Dust is "commercial" is absurd to me. Sure, the production got a bit slicker, but it was still fully out of the mainstream, sound wise. "Beds Are Burning" was a truly offbeat and unexpected hit for them that put them on... See full review

Why the two different cover designs on the vinyl release vs the CD? The CD one is better, IMO, why not just go with that for both. Really odd.
Pulp - Different Class

This classic hit its 25th anniversary last year (2020). I would have expected a nice 2xLP deluxe remaster, but no. Island/UMC did a really nice deluxe 25th version of His N' Hers in 2019, white vinyl, Abbey Road mastering, sounded great. Different... See full review
The Beatles - Let It Be... Naked

I always thought the sequencing on this album was all wrong. Seriously seems random rather than deliberate. "Get Back" should be the first song, and this Naked version gets that right at least. But then things go out of whack again. "Two Of Us" would... See full review

This is such a killer record. Deep bass. Drums pop. One of the best sounding records I have, and the vinyl is basically silent. Amazing.

Poor pressing, Side 1 is loaded with nonfill, and the remaster does not sound as good as my 1981 US original on Portrait. Shame, I would have expected better from Optimal.

I don't know, I'm listening to this CD now and it sounds beautiful. No distortion at all. It breathes. I can think of examples of "brickwalling" you're describing, but this is not one of them.

Not necessarily. It's possible it was released in 2020 and you only bought it in 2021. If your matrix runouts and barcode match this, then it is this.

Seems to be a lot of complaints about this vinyl pressing. It is unfortunate, really. Electronica usually sounds reliably good on vinyl, even 33 1/3 RPM LPs. I don't own this record, but let me tell you, the CD of this is plenty loud and dynamic... See full review

Listening to this on vinyl is revelatory, and as others have commented, a big improvement over the CD. The orange pressing of The Last Broadcast is a bit better than this, or at least it sounds better because I think that one was better engineered.... See full review

GZ Media strikes again. Mine came with a big gouge in Side 1, producing a faint repetitive tick when playing (but thankfully no skips). It also has some visible gunk on it that might be residue from the inner sleeve, that should clean off. I can't... See full review

My copy has a quiet surface and sounds just fine if a bit thin overall, with a few tracks sounding great: "PDA", "The New" and "Leif Erikson". This is the pressing Amazon is shipping as of April 2021, even though there is a newer pressing out there.

Usually a locked groove is a 100% intentional feature at the end of a side. I think it's cool when bands do this. HOWEVER, my copy does not have this. So, yes that is odd.

Another example of a track sequence gone wrong. There's too many ballads on Side 1, and Side 2 ends up being much heavier and shorter. It should have been arranged like this for better flow and balance:

Shadow should have combined CD2 (Vocal Suite) with some of the better tracks on CD1 such as "Slingblade" and "Firestorm" as one album. The Instrumentals disc, besides a handful of tracks, is kind of a chore to get through. What a shame that any DJ... See full review

The version of "Creatures" on the original Bricolage CD is different from the digital version. The CD version has a longer intro, but does not have the sampled dialog, while the digital version (which is darker in tone overall) does.
