I normally much prefer card sleeve releases but in this instance the packaging is atrocious. If you try and get the CD out it shows that the card is not glued together for the opening 10mm which means that if you even marginally try and stick your... See full review

I took the gamble with this one and purchased it - partly because I felt a single record suited the album better, and partly because I don't like unnecessary flipping. My verdict is that it sounds fantastic! I certainly never felt like sound quality... See full review

According to Wikipedia there are CD versions from 1987 and 1990, and I've heard multiple people state the original cassette version had an expanded trackless, yet the current discogs database doesn't support this? By the way, only just stumbled upon... See full review

Utterly incredible soundtrack. Would love to own this on record, however the prices are a joke. I only hope that when it's finally reissued it's not on Mondo!!

Some reasons:
It's arguably one of the best Swans albums, it's a triple album, the artwork is stunning and it sounds incredible.

I'm not defending scalpers, however it's a genuinely stunning album that more and more people are discovering. First... See full review

Each to their own, but for me this is a masterpiece. There's a reason why despite selling terribly on release, it's maintained a devoted following over the decades, even influencing artists far outside it's genre (Opeth for example). I get your... See full review

I honestly don't know. King Creosote has a habit of releasing different versions of the same album - often with songs in a mixed up track order, or with unique man-made artwork. I suspect you had a ripped copy of the original album and that the copy I... See full review

The vinyl is flat and dead quiet - there is a tiny bit of crackle on side 1 but that is it.

One of electronic music's classics. Dark without being cold, funky without being cheesy, melodic without being too 'poppy' - it's weirdly 'sexy' and it sounds effortless as it flows from belter to the next. An easy 5/5 album.

Surely the 'warmth' you hear is a result of the vinyl format - not the fact that it's digital. I honestly believe that if Neil said this was pure analogue no-one would be able to tell otherwise. I'm glad artists like Neil are upfront and honest about... See full review
