I feel like I may be alone here but I'm a little disappointed with this release; it's not up to the same very high standard as Doomsday Afternoon or Snowtorch. Too much of the music feels like intentional nods to earlier releases (it's the final in a ... See full review

I'm surprised by all the negative reviews; mine sounds pretty damn good! Sure, it would've been nice if there were printed sleeves instead of plain black poly sleeves in the box (but at least they are poly lined!). And sure, the booklet is a little ... See full review

I'm a bit of a Steven Wilson completionist and I only bought this for the (very) early No-Man song, and even then, I genuinely wasn't expecting it to be much good. However , the no-man song is surprisingly good, very good infact. More surprisingly is how ... See full review

Music played a very important part of this game. Both melodic and atmospheric, it blends the retro and modern (as it then was...), epitomising the themes of mystery, scientific breakthrough, the metropolis and it's criminal underworlds.

Amazing live experience; shame the packaging isn't of the same very high quality as his previous dvds/blurays. I've noticed a recent trend of concert films being released in CD sized packages too; what's that about??

Does anyone have any insight into the sound quality of this single-record release? Seems like a lot of music has been squished into both sides...

I'm sad to see Steven Wilson go down this route; exclusives for those people who are able to attend/afford special 'upgraded' concerts. No such shows have been on sale in my own country and normally even standard tickets sell like gold-dust.

Whitefang; his discography aside, his being convicted of multiple sex offenses is enough to warrant the change

The 2018 remaster has Bertie's voice replace Rolf's. It sounds fitting and complete too; a good move!

Excellent pressing, beautiful glossy artwork with accompanying booklet and subtle remastering; glad to see Rolf's vocal contribution erased too...

It sounds pretty bloody amazing to my ears. I guess it's not overall very bass-heavy but that's not what this style of music is about. The detail and clarity is stunning without (to my ears) sounding clinical.

Utter crap album. Really one of his very worst. Can't believe this is the same man who released some of my favourite albums!!

I think this is a 2018 reissue based on internet posts made by Phideaux Xavier. Buy from the bloodfish website though and you'll receive a signed insert!

First impressions; ultra flimsy packaging, especially considering the price tag. When you consider the care that was put into the recently reissued Soundtracks For The Blind album by Swans (also 4 lps). Listening to the album, it sounds good! The vinyl ... See full review

Now THIS is how to put out vinyl that people have been waiting patiently for for years! It's a thing of beauty and sounds terrific. I only hope The Beta Band can achieve the same result with their upcoming Three EP's release.

Personally I think To Be Kind is their masterpiece. I think it will satisfy your taste for Krautrock and postrock in that it's highly rhythmic, raw and brutal, yet also highly atmospheric and slow to unfold. Beyond that album, Soundtracks For The Blind ... See full review

This is a weird one; this promotional version of the album actually has far superior packaging than the standard CD version. It's presented in a hard card 'mini-lp' style gatefold case that's got extra artwork not found in the normal CD edition.
