If I buy a record from you, I will generally ask you to double check the condition of the records I've ordered from you before shipping, regardless of your stellar ratings and feedback. Please don't be offended, it's not personal.
If I have questions about your records, I'll also ask those during the purchase process. Appologies if that is frustrating. I've found that questions on the front end (pre-purchase) are more often than not ignored, and don't typically get answered.
I appreciate receiving a clean shiny record. But I've noticed that some well intentioned record cleaning can leave a residue or other damaging attributes. I’ve cleaned something blue (windex?) from records more than once, and something else that I’m certain was Armor All (gummed up gunk on the stylus). Sometimes its just too much record cleaner that dries and results in a hissy, crackly static. Rinsing after cleaning with distilled water helps (even with a fancy ass cleaning machine). But I’d avoid a wet cleaner if ya don’t have to.
Now, I buy records and I buy records,
I’m goin’ out and buyin’ more records,
and I buy more records,
I pay for them,
I blow one, fives and I blow tens,
My budget bends.
― Andy Pratt, Records + Records
What’s wrong with this record?
Nothing... Nothing at all.

“Is it wrong, wanting to be at home with your record collection? It's not like collecting records is like collecting stamps, or beermats, or antique thimbles. There's a whole world in here, a nicer, dirtier, more violent, more peaceful, more colorful, sleazier, more dangerous, more loving world than the world I live in; there is history, and geography, and poetry, and countless other things I should have studied at school, including music.”
― Nick Hornby, High Fidelity
Ya don’t have a first US pressing unless it looks like this (no Vanda & Young production credit or "℗ 1976 J. Albert & Sons (Pty) Ltd)")
YEAH SO?
