Agreed, there's about 2" of dead wax on both sides, waste of space.

Sounds great and I had zero skipping or popping. For what it's worth, I first cleaned it before playing.

If you're just getting into this band and like what you've heard from their more recent albums, then I DON'T recommend this one. It's much more in line with death metal heavy growling vocals type music than the power metal sound the band has now. ... See full review

Great album from a talented band. This gold has an odd wave pattern in it as the pictures show. It doesn't affect play. Interestingly, I bought mine sealed and it came with two (identical) lyric sheets, one in the front sleeve and the other with the two ... See full review

I didn't really want to spend the $60+ on the original so I finally broke down and bought this copy and I'm very happy with it. I think I could hear what people were referring to as the whooshing sound in the left channel on side A, but only when I was ... See full review

I bought this after only having heard "Square Hammer" but the rest of the songs (all covers) are all very well done, and can be downright haunting. It's easy to see the influence these bands have on Ghost's sound. Sonically I find it excellent: clear and ... See full review

It says "Original Master Recording" on the cover art itself.

This is a great album but my sealed copy was incredibly warped. It's like watching waves in the ocean. Amazingly it plays fine.

MoFi has never failed to impress me with their "Original Master Recording" pressings, and this remastering of "Pearl" is no different. To nitpick I'd say the vocals could be a little more upfront on a song or two.

I also experience a few crackles at the tail end of "Sunday Morning" into the intro of "Don't Speak", but nothing too crazy. I did notice a very faint thumping noise, like a slow heartbeat, between songs and during very quiet parts of Side 1. I listened ... See full review

I agree. I managed to pick up a beautiful copy of this when the opportunity came and I think I got a great deal on it. No crackles, pops, or anything! A must have for blues fans.

Don't forget to set your receiver to mono when listening to Pet Sounds. This is my first mono pressing and thought something was wrong at first when the music had some odd shifting between channels...yup. Sounds great now.

Mine's off-centered too but to me it sounds fine and the tone arm is pretty steady. I did just notice that excess label for my Side A was cut but not pulled away (like the pictured example on this site).

Nice find! I have the repress on tri color vinyl pre-ordered. It was supposed to be out 1/19... I found a copy of "The Magic of Youth" in the meantime to tide me over.

EDIT: I recently saw a nice original pressing for about $17 shipped on ebay. I added ... See full review

Mine looks like this version but on the left of the label STEREO is underneath SIDE instead of above like in the photos.

I just listened to mine for comparison and it does skip a few times in succession during the intro of "Shattered" and maybe another 3 times 1st verse to mid song, even after using my dust brush twice on it. The other songs on Side 3 didn't skip at all.

I wonder if mine had it's sleeve switched at some point. It has the same vinyl with the "Fabricado en..." is under Cara B SGAE, but it's not gatefold it's (which is a basic sleeve but the ... See full review

Mine seems to be this exact LP but the rear cover is flipped as some have mentioned when referencing other copies. I bought it used at a vinyl show for maybe $6 and it looks near straight from the plastic. :)
