Lots of great ideas, but the sax ruins nearly all of them.

These smoke colored records are gorgeous! And they sound ace too.

Great album, but seriously terrible inner sleeves! Such a chore to take out and reinsert. Please never do this again Ghostly!
Vril (2) - Flux

A middle of the road Vril release. It starts off nicely with the title track, but dips in quality immediately after. The best part is the hypnotic Ztadast on the flip.

B side is amazing! Tom Jarmey is one to watch.

The Vengabus is coming! "We Like To Party" is based entirely on a Vengaboys sample!!! It's funny, but not anything I'd really want to dance to. Give me the original and we'll see.

"Love You Down (Plush Managements Mix)" is a great track though.
Wagon Christ - Recepticon

Yikes - more Michael Jackson samples on this LP as well?!?! Absolutely no reason for it since there are surely thousands of instances of people saying the word "boogie" in music...

Stupid sample choices aside, this Luke Vibert album is just ok. It... See full review

Umm, are those Michael Jackson samples I hear on "Ecstasy"? Gross. Luke, what are you thinking?!? That's definitely Madonna on "Ladies." I know Mr. Vibert has always been a plunderphonic maniac and normally I love that about him, but there are some... See full review

"Blue Demoiselle" is the cut here. Love those froggy sounds.
Duke Dumont - Duality

Starts off great with "Therapy" then quickly devolves into uninspired guest vocalist collab mediocrity. Doesn't have the magic of past Duke Dumont hits. Oh well, can't win 'em all.

Thank you Alex and cohorts! This album is glorious and the 24 hour live stream is exactly what I need right now during this weird time.

Just wait a decade or two and CDs will be as retro cool as vinyl and tapes are right now. I'm already getting ready by stocking up on bargain bin buys of Paula Cole and Enya discs that no one wants. I'm gonna make a fortune flipping these on Discogs... See full review

Super disappointing album. Where is that Fehlmann magic touch? It comes through on "Strings In Space" mostly and on "Landline" a little bit, but it's nowhere to be found on the rest of these tracks. I am surprised TF signed off on releasing these... See full review

Being a big fan of The Real Tuesday Weld's first album "Where Psyche Meets Cupid" ‎(the Kindercore Records version is the one I picked up many years ago) I was surprised to discover this album. It's basically a recycled version of that first album... See full review
Sad City - Shapes In Formation

"Rain Call" is a great track. Very original and mysterious. The rest of the album never comes close to the promise of its opener. And then, there's the vocal sample of someone quoting the bible, which really derailed the mood and feeling of this... See full review
Yagya - Stormur
posted a review of Yagya - Stormur. over 3 years ago
This album starts off with two familiar dub techno Yagya-style cuts, quickly drops the dubby elements and leaves a relentless 4/4 that becomes more grating as the album continues to the end. There is little variation throughout the album and for a... See full review

I wish this CD would play. The tracklist looks amazing, but whether I use the car, a computer or a discman it rarely gets past the first few tracks. The disc is not even scratched. Did they rip these with a "self-destruct" feature?

Utterly uninspired and bland. My guess is fans of this only started listening to electronic music in the last 5 years and think ambient is a new genre. I used to think highly of this artist, but his recent output feels rushed and mediocre.

I used to be a fan of PDM but after listening to this GARBAGE not anymore. First of all, including CeeLo Green as a guest vocalist is a terrible move. Not only is he proclaiming he's a "sinner" which is certainly true since he claims "it's not rape if... See full review
