Profile

There is no guideline that says colour should come first in FTF, only an example at RSG §6.1.7 of what to do in a case where there are 3 different variants of the same release. Indeed, reading the Guideline as a whole (thereby placing the example in its intended context, rather than in isolation), what it is trying to avoid is having the same first word in the FTF of variants of a release, regardless of what that word is. In the case of the example, it’s so that the short form of the FTF is not "Mot" for all 3 variants, because their colour is what distinguishes them from one another.
Staff confirmation that, where there are two releases that are the same colour, they can be entered as 'Transparent (colour)' and 'Opaque (colour)'.

"Fancy" names for coloured vinyl should be 'Basic, objective colour [Marketing / Hype name for colour]'

Very oddly compiled. I wonder what the justification is for only 8 minutes of music on Side C, when the 60 minutes or so of the album could easily be more evenly spread over the 4 sides, whilst maintaining the same running order.

Yep; I'd definitely add that as a variant. I'm told (by another Oz resident) that the European versions are often distributed in Australia as well. Not sure if this means we should add Australia to Country (but maybe not, according to... See full review

A 'real' Sisters fan should buy two copies of the same LP just because one of them has a 'Made In Germany' sticker on the back and the other one doesn't? Why would not wanting to waste your mone mean that your not a 'real' fan of anyone. What a truly... See full review

Played on some semi-decent equipment (and, obviously, cleaning before first play), my copy sounds FANTASTIC!
A couple of VERY minor pops on the first play of A2 had disappeared by 2nd play.
The LPs are now in poly sleeves to avoid damage from the... See full review

Presumably, they eventually sorted the issue (or I was just unlucky and got a Friday afternoon pressing) - the imperfections in my vinyl are clearly visible; it's quite 'bumpy' (which causes a 'rumbling' background).

No, not played mine yet; I actually bought it for my daughter, so she gets first play. I'll let you know what her verdict is. They've gone straight into poly inner sleeves, though.

That's odd; my discs were so 'staticy' that they were difficult to remove from the sleeves.

Doesn't look to be all that rare; 184 users on here have it, and those for sale are not extortionately priced.

Mine sounds really, really DULL; almost to the point that it sounds like my speakers are under water. A production (in the studio) problem, or just this pressing?

Maybe just me, but I don't put the pops & clicks down to a bad pressing, especially given the horrible 'gritty' sound the LPs made as I took them out of the inner sleeves. Mine have gone straight into protective inners. The initial damage is already... See full review

It isn't a track with no title, it simply isn't listed. If the version matches a titled track on other releases, it does actually have a title. I think that's the difference here.

Yes, that makes sense, as long as... See full review

I'm happy to accept that the title can be taken from the evidence that it was thus titled on a contemporaneous release, but, whilst you're right, a different version appears on The Original Memphis Recordings, the logic doesn't follow unless we're... See full review

Sound quality is really good. However, I've now returned two copies of this due to manufacturing faults - one a pressing issue causing a scuffing sound, one a too-large centre hole causing the LP to not sit flush on the spindle.
