Unlike the usual packaging from 20BS, the record on this one came in a plain paper sleeve rather than polylined, which was disappointing. Had some noise while playing, so I had to wet-clean it. Otherwise another great album by one of my favorite bands...

Gets bought out by Funko, a company that was already sinking at the time of acquisition; not even a year later, they close down the posters department. Who knows when records division will be next

As a Brazilian, the main appeal of Brazilian pressings are that they're usually cheaper. It currently costs R$280 on Mutilation Records store (US$56,50 at the time of writing this), so it's a very tough sell.

On first spin, first disc was very noisy. Second disc is almost clean in comparison. I'm gonna try wet-cleaning it later. Apart from that it sounds great, although not a fan of Cascade pressings so far. Noise and off-centered pressings are common...

I have the 2018 MBV edition (same cut as the Domino deluxe), distortion gets really crazy at the end of I Only Said. Soon is a bit more bearable. At this point I'm already used to it

So I bought both this and CODY. This one is full of static and pops out of the sleeve, CODY was near pristine. I think I know why.

It's best recommended that you keep the booklet inbetween the gatefold. You can't fit both the booklet and one of the records inside, at least not comfortably. I guess there's a reason why the original vinyl pressing had the booklet glued to the gatefold

Now I hear the Paddling issue in this pressing. It's very strange that only the electronic hi hats are suffering from drop outs, which made me believe it's a mixing problem.

Yep, same opinion on the tambourines on The Gift. However only the first few hits sound particularly bad in my opinion, the rest is bearable, at least on my speakers setup.

I remember being unlucky with Pacific Breeze 1... my copy had some ripping sounds across the first disc. I was afraid of being the same thing with this record, but luckily my copy is mostly clean

Yup, on side B as well. I can hear a slight pitch shift on last two tracks of side D, it's kind of a bummer.

Original master doesn't even sound bad at all, in fact I actually prefer this over the 2007 remaster. On that one they just cranked up compression.

Thank you very much. This new test pressing seems to use the exact same metalworks from the original 2009 release, I'm still skeptical on the claim that this one sounds better... maybe on the surface noise department
