posted a review of Last Step - Last Step. over 13 years ago
Five of the twelve songs on this album have already been released somewhere else. So technically 7 of these songs are new. This is rather disappointing for Last Step's debut album, which I've been looking forward to since the release of the You're A Nice ... See full review

Tom DeLonge was quoted saying that Angels & Airwaves "sounds like it has the conceptual depth of Pink Floyd, the anthemic architecture of U2 but with Tom from Blink writing all the melodies..." I would have to strongly disagree with that statement, and ... See full review

Venetian Snares has the be the only artist within my large range of musical tastes that continually blows my mind, release after release. I am beginning to think it may eventually become near impossible for him to top himself on the next album. Cavalcade ... See full review

It's typical for people to say that Bob Dylan wasn't much of a singer. While that MAY be true to a certain extent, his talent for emotion fueled lyrics and genious song writing can not be overlooked. I discovered Bob by the track "Boots Of Spanish ... See full review
posted a review of Venetian Snares vs Bong-Ra - 4 Adaptations Of Rossz Csillag Alatt Született. over 14 years ago
Don't expect a breakcore record. Don't expect a straight forward jazz record either. Expect 4 beautifully reworked masterpieces. Bong-Ra's use of jazz drumming and upright bass gives these tracks a totally different feel. The emotion Bong-Ra was feeling ... See full review

Chiastic Slide was the first IDM album I ever purchased. The track 'Tewe' was what attracted me, after hearing it in a skateboard film called 'One Step Beyond'. I quickly researched the artist and bought this album the first chance I saw it on a shelf. ... See full review
posted a review of Project 168. over 14 years ago
The concept of Project 168 is pure genius. Being a participant myself in the third project, I was amazed at the motivation that 168 hours gave me to get an EP made. Also, listening to all the other participating artists work made within that time is a ... See full review
posted a review of edIT (3). over 15 years ago
edIT has some sick production skills. Crying Over Pros For No Reason has to be one of the better IDM/Hip-Hop-ish albums I've ever heard, if that's how you want to classify it, or even if similar artists exist. Seeing edIT live however, is another story. ... See full review

I am very torn on this release. First of all, the concept of using one vocal sample 10 times on one release, to me is like spinning a nugget of poop on a turntable, nonsensical, and unlistenable. But I do like the opening track 'Original Babylon'. ... See full review
posted a review of Modest Mouse - Good News For People Who Love Bad News. over 15 years ago
While most fans of Modest Mouse will argue that this is their worst album, I must disagree. I haven't dwelled far into their past, so I wouldn't exactly know what to compare it to. But bands like Modest Mouse give me hope for the future of music. Their ... See full review

posted a review of Wisp - NRTHNDR. over 15 years ago
Ever since I first heard Wisp, I compared his sound to that of Aphex Twin's Richard D. James Album. For some that would be the highest of compliments, but it is well deserved on Wisp's behalf. On this album he does no messing around. From beginning to ... See full review

Doormouse has given to us a piece of his soul (And trust me when I say that it's a good thing he did) and called it Major Changes. The title speaks for it's self, This album is quite a mature step for Doormouse. The result is in my opinion one of the ... See full review

14 songs on one 7" vinyl. It doesn't get more punk rock than that! The songs can hardly be taken seriously, as most of them are of joking matter. But what can you expect when you throw down 14 new tracks in two days?
posted a review of Various - Tooth & Nail Video Compilation Volume Seven. over 15 years ago
Great DVD with some awesome videos from some awesome bands. The only thing lacking here is bonus material. There is none. The only feature outside of the videos is a Biography/Discography page available for each band. Video quality is A+ though.
