This is the world's first commercial picture sleeve, I believe.

This is a reissue of an LP issued originally in 1970-1971.

Very strange album. Perhaps backing tracks from 1964-1966? Not the kind of material Whitcomb was doing on other albums in the '70s and '80s.

This is not the rap band Untouchables. This is the white doo wop band from the early '60s.

This is not an "alternate cover." This is the ORIGINAL first issue. The other cover came years later.

I have a copy of this, too, from the label in 1983.

This is the first issue of the Solid Smoke album.

Is has long been my understanding that there are at least two versions of "Just A Taste," and that the promo and stock copies are different. Unfortunately I have never been able to find a stock copy to compare. Has anyone this experience?

The photo clearly shows a grey label, yet there is no description of such. Another mono UK listing is also for pink label. Does this need to be revised to reflect a different pressing?

There are also copies that are not signed / not numbered, but the same exact printing.

Excellent album showing maturity and strong songwriting and performing skills. They've moved on in fine style. No need to live in the past.

This description and photo is for the 2nd pressing of the album. The first pressing did not have a knit dress covering up the girl on the front cover.

This release cannot be from 1950; that's the copyright date of the book. The photo of Soupy Sales is from the '60s.

NOTE: The version of the LP illustrated here is the early '70s reissue, not the original pressing.

The LP listed here, "Shake It All" is by the group from Uruguay, NOT the Swedish band.

This is one of the great songs of the early '80s. A classic.

As per the discussion below, to summarize: There are three versions of the first LP: 1) Original version with "dirty" words fully visible. 2) The dirty words are scratched out... actual scratch marks. 3) Reprinted cover with the dirty words blanked out.

The text, "Radio station copy...," looks exactly like what Columbia Records used. I have seen the same style font and lettering on Date releases. So, perhaps this is most likely distributed by Columbia, unlike other promos done independently by Ardent.

The U.S. Capitol version of this 45 is notable for having the first commercially release Picture Sleeve for a single.

I question whether the US release on ATCO should be called a "reissue," since it is the first issue in that country.
