I know of five mixes of this very kool track.
The original, from _Queer_: "Question Of Time" Three mixes on "Time" single: "Time" 7:22 "Time Less" 3:59 "Dark Time" 6:32 And from the "Mama Told Me Not to Come" single we have: "Summer Time" ... See full review |

This seems to be the only appearance of "Summer Time", an excellent 4th addition to the three mixes of "Time" [from Dark Side of the Moon, yes] on the _Time_ single.

"our house", Madness' 9th biggest UK hit, didn't make the cut.

is it Radioactive's typo, or did Mick originally title the album Punk?

|
|

would some Squeeze-head please explain the logic behind compiling this set of songs? Why the inclusion of Take Me I'm Yours, If I Didn't Love You and Tempted [alternate version]?
|

Wow, they up'd the original running time of ~20 minutes per side to 26+ minutes per side! The bass *has* to suffer, right?
|

I have read that this is an unauthorized release, and that these are merely edits, not actual remixes.

"Record contains the album version of "Ashes To Ashes" but sounds harsher."

It has been alleged that Rachel Humphries, Lou Reed's mid-70s TS lover and the inspiration for his albums of that peak period [Sally Can't Dance, etc.], is the cover model for Bionic Boogie's 1977 debut.

no connection to Bow Wow Wow, I gather ..

whoa, what do my eyes perceive- a cassette long box?
|

Q: is this in a standard double jewel case? Thx.

Oddly, this release doesn't show up in the Style Council's compilation section for me. I only found it by searching directly. [Discogs site has awesome search, do we all agree?]
|
![]() |
At 21 tracks, this almost certainly the longest single disk Style Council compilation.

Conspicuously missing "a solid bond in your heart". It's video is obscure— not on Youtube; indeed I only found it on this Japanese site: https://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm11328089. It's a wonderful video– Paul Weller dances on the dance floor with...

Includes "The Whole Point Of No Return", an essential SC track not on the official issues of this compilation.

Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, The Three Johns, TMV, Sisters of Mercy.
|

Who are the other three members of "Leeds' four famous drum machine bands"? I assume Sisters of Mercy...

released in jewel case only, never a digipak release? Thanks, fellow music lovers.
|

nice box sets, except they 'stiff' us on reproducing the original labels

Omits "This Today", one of their 3 best songs imso.
|
![]() |
Interestingly, the song This Today, one of their 3 best imso*, is not included on this 4 song EP.
*The other two being Talk About The Weather and their only 'hit', Hollow Eyes. |

How odd that for songs from Long Distance Voyager they include "Veteran Cosmic Rocker" over "Gemini Dream" (probably the Moody's fourth biggest song of the 80s) or even "talking out of turn" or "22,000 Days".

is there much of a booklet with this new edition?
|
![]() |
There's five people on the cover and six people on the back cover. Is the additional person Fort Hill cult leader Mel Lyman? [possibly on banjo]

what the heck do we have here? google knows nothing about it.

and to think this used to be on the wall at Bleeker Bob's Records in Greenwich Village back in the day for $100 or something... and how excited I was when I found it for only $25!

Indeed, Side One is 27:45. Side Two = 21:51. (¬‿¬ )

jewel case? which type? [european is digi pak] —thx.
|
![]() |
Can anyone comment on the sound? It's odd they would give this recording the collector's reissue treatment without remastering, but AFAIK no early SSJ was remastered until 2017's The Fever: The Remastered Epic Recordings 2CD.

No Roundabout or Long Distance Runaround. And of course no Awaken.
|

Haha nothing from Close to the Edge on the Best Of. (And no Awaken.) But they got Rhythm of Love!

jewel case? digipak? the 2cd version is non-jewel case, but I can't tell about the 1cd version from the pics. Thanx, fellow Elvis fans and Discogers.

No need to make a 3LP set... It just should be 33 rpm, or at least sides 1 and 3 should be.
|

Are these live or non standard versions? T h x
|

The Canadian issue has stereo album versions as one would expect from major label A&M. The UK issues, however, all appear to be mono, and Kinda Kute is a remix!

I just figured out that my cousin Edna Lewis co-wrote this. The a-side is from Nature's Walden album. Does anyone know anything about the b-side, apparently a cover by "The Partners"?
|
![]() |
Note: the album version is 4:27, so the b-side seems to be an uncredited edit.
|
![]() |
Anyone know the length of the "Long Version"? Is it actually just the album version?

formerly The Danse Society, like Starship is to Jefferson Starship. Drummer Gilmartin is the only link to the original 80's incarnation of T.D.S. Ref. discogs.com/artist/104174-The-Danse-Society

This box set is not the "first three albums", but the 2nd, 3rd and 4th albums.

Funny, not a single release has any connection to reggae.

Is this US issue a digipak? Thx.

Gauging from the images above, there's not as much Dean artwork as I expected on 7 gatefold mini lp sleeves and box.
