20 years here. The quality went down when every idiot got the chance to enter his "releases". It's all about quantity (and boulevard crap) not quality (like "reviews"). The old members were f'ed, the new got boni. Like European politics... Greets to all oldschoolers, WE built this page, especially Europeans (Germans, Dutch, Italians, Russians, English, Maltese etc. etc.). Many things ain't fine anymore, but it's still a nice and important site. Forget Fakebook, Shitstagram, Zwitter and all those typical westworld superficial crap things.
I could have been submitted more than 100; many of them during the "old" Discogs time without Wikipedia-like features and so on, but I was a little bit lazy ;-) Especially as I tend to list (all) credits, errors, notes etc. immediately (which takes hours sometimes but ain't a must). I also didn't submit tons of old Schlager vinyls (not my collection) as it was never relevant to me, lol. My first submissions were in November 2003 (when it was about quality, not quantity...)
I just rate the music, not the design and so on and I ain't a moralist. Most (EDM) music from 1998+ is pretty crap (and I partially try to be up to date regarding some artists/styles), that lowers my rating (lotsa releases deserve 0/5 stars), haha. The best rating method would be from 0, 0,5, 1, 1,5... to 6 stars.
