I disagree. I'll only buy a reissue if it strongly conforms to the original. Otherwise for me what's the point? I can stream all this music if I just want to hear it. It needs to look authentic if I'm going to pay for it. Just my opinion though.

LMAO! I had tears in my eyes after reading your review. Also had to google the word "stile," but yes, you're right, that's exactly what the song sounds like.

This is definitely one of his best. Strongly melodic as usual, but every track is a winner. I got it on a Bandcamp Friday and I listen to it constantly while coding. Great stuff!

The attitude, the aesthetic. Really, everything. It honest to god does not get much more 1980s than this. It isn't the best album of that decade, not by a long shot, but it's high in the running for MOST 80s album. (In a good way!)

What I wouldn't... See full review

Supposedly there's a fix coming for the issue on While You Wait. Saw it on the New Musik FB group.

I doubt anyone knows how many were made. They didn't number records back in the 90s because vinyl wasn't the trophy it is now.

Actually digital tapes can degrade. Not saying it would necessarily happen here, but it can happen. I believe the reissue for Stereolab - Dots & Loops made mention of those tapes having issues, and they're digital.
Seefeel - Succour

This is one of the best Warp albums of the 90s, right up there with Tri Repetae and I Care Because You Do. Those three might even consist of a holy trinity of 1995 Warp albums. Just a great, dark, brooding collection of industrial IDM tracks. ... See full review

Does this label have a rule where 90% of their output must sound like Plant43? Because it does. The standout albums are the ones that don't sound like that (e.g., Paul Blackford, Splitradix).

Great music for a day in the desert. This is one of the best Rippingtons albums, from the golden age of smooth jazz. Yes, there was such a thing! 😀
Kenny Dorham - Quiet Kenny

The word "underrated" has lost all meaning. It now implies "people aren't talking about this thing on social media as much as I think they should be."

Clearly Kenny Dorham is not underrated, but a highly respected jazz composer and performer.

IMHO it's Kind of Blue, Bitches Brew, and Nefertiti. Those are the three greatest Miles Davis albums. Every moment of this record is enthralling! The compositions here are second to none -- Herbie and Wayne turned in an album of standard after... See full review

Does anyone know why this album was originally cut at Artisan and also at Kendun? I was watching a Kevin Gray interview and he mentions this album being cut at Artisan, so it inspired me to find my pressing here, but mine is Kendun, so I wondered.

This is an excellent album. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why a Blue Note session got shelved. Some of those released later aren't standouts, but then there are some like Grant Green's Solid, a few from Lee Morgan, and this one from... See full review

An excellent album all the way thru, sleek and melodic, even atmospheric at times. The growth in his music over just a couple years is impressive. This is his best in my opinion. I could listen to it all day. Needs a good vinyl reissue!

Agreed with the others - one of the best albums of this genre. I can listen to it over and over. Only recently discovered it after having been an Eno fan for going on 25 years. I'd rank this in the top five EG albums, along with Ambient 1, 2, 4,... See full review

I've got the same issue on mine - static once per rotation across much of side A, though not the whole side. Frankly none of the Can reissues are very good. Each of them has their own weird noise issues, at least on the big three albums. My copy of... See full review

Phenomenal album. The title track gets all the hype, but for my money, Gary's Notebook is where it's at. Absolutely ridiculous track. Just follow along with the chart when Morgan and Henderson play the head --... See full review

Did you like the music on the Weather Channel when you were a kid? You might really like this album if you're into that late-80s fusion/smooth jazz sound. Yes it's commercial and fairly dated (gratuitous use of the DX-7, for example), but still... See full review

Mine sounds quite good. Vinyl is flat and reasonably clean. Appears to me this was pressed at Optimal. I haven't listened to this album in a very long time; musically, It's a bit more lively at times than Two Against Nature.

Any sibilance on the inner tracks like Only the Wind? What about Face the Truth? Those two were quite bad on the 2018 pressing.

Does "Glass Elevator" sample a track on the Geoff Bastow Bruton album Tomorrows World?

"Imposing" definitely samples "Land Lines" from the Bruton album Undergroove.

I've got the same thing. Very noisy, and one of the better tracks on the album. The rest of that side has noise too, though not as bad as track B1. Disc 2 sounds perfect.

Buyer beware.

Just listening to this, and wow, great album. "Underwater" is as dark a track as I remember first hearing 20 years ago. Great stuff, though no idea what is going on in the last two minutes, it doesn't fit. Then there's Dub 2, one of the best Fax... See full review

Both of the Xangadix albums are quite good, classic mid-90s Fax. In fact, I think both might rank in the top 10 all-time Fax albums. Certainly they're both far better than The MS-Series from the same guys.

The second album might be a bit better,... See full review
