The more I play this, the more I think a 45-RPM, 2xLP would have been the way to go. It could be arranged like this:

Side 1: Boring, Place
Side 2: Truth, Expect, Wind
Side 3: October, Hard
Side 4: Nervously, World, Jealousy

This would preserve the ... See full review

Center hole a bit too small and side 1 is just slightly off-center. Still, it plays fine and sounds good. Can't complain for being so cheap on amazon. Great album with two great artists!

My copy has a very slight ripple at the outer edge of both sides, but plays fine and sounds great.

Gone from Amazon and other places now.

Is this record essentially already sold out at mainstream retailers?

I have pops and clicks especially on B1 on my green copy. Same as yours? I went to exchange it on Amazon and suddenly it seems sold out everywhere.

An excellent EP! He just reissued this on Bandcamp. I wish the full length version of "A Moment In Space" was available on vinyl. Classic stuff.

One of their best albums -- highly melodic and engaging. Needs a vinyl reissue!

A lot of good tracks here, but it's heavily biased toward tracks with vocals and more straight-ahead jazz. Not totally representative of the label. The Joe Lee Wilson track is a head-scratcher for sure; its style does not fit Inner City in my ... See full review

Pretty good pressing if you can get it cheap. I scored mine on Deep Discount for like six bucks. Somewhat bright sound, but the packaging and inner sleeve is good, if extremely staticky.

Worth it for Takin it Back!

Great pressing of a fantastic album. God this music takes me back. So many memories. It's the slower, sadder songs that I really love most, especially No Difference, which still gets me 20 years later. Just a great experience listening to this album ... See full review

Great music (Outpost Alpha is my favorite track of this entire genre), but my vinyl copy is quite noisy. Ticks and pops everywhere like it's a thrift shop record. Spinclean didn't help.

It's been over 20 years and we still don't really have the complete Bitches Brew sessions. We know there are plenty of unedited session reels due to the existence of the bootlegs on youtube and elsewhere.

But even for the official 40th anniversary box, ... See full review

Overall a great pressing. Mine has a few ticks and pops on Round About Midnight, which is unfortunate, since it's a quiet track, but it's still good. Rest of the album is flawless.

There's an orange vinyl version of Tago Mago, a green version of Ege Bamyasi, how about a blue or purple version of Future Days?

Great album and one of my favorite Blue Notes. Definitely a high point of 50s jazz as it doesn't have an overly dated happy, swingin' feel the way many pre-Kind of Blue albums do.

Also a fairly historical album whose original pressing is very valuable ... See full review

There's some distortion on the trumpet in Bedtime Story, the album's best track. Also on Jessica. This is tamed somewhat by using a higher VTF, but that's not ideal. I don't have an original pressing, but I do have the Treasure Chest compilation. No ... See full review
