I must admit it is a great compilation of Funk and Soul music. More importantly, the CD contains massive Eartha Kitt hit "Where Is My Man" as 12" remix, winch is rarely available on the CD.

This is EMI Swindon pressing. This is NOT the 1984 release. EMI Swindon opened its CD manufacture plant in 1986. Presented release come from an early 1990s when EMI has bought the rights to distribute Virign releases. Here is an explanation of what I'm ... See full review

An early 90s release, more likely from 1992, definitely not from 1983. The original pressing from 1983 has no barcode and CD has a pale blue label. Rear insert has a West German notification on the bottom line.

This is not a release from 1983. Label Codes were introduced in middle 80s.

Can I ask contributors what are the matrix/ring numbers around the centre ring of the CD? It might help to identify the release. As far as I know, in '82 Canadian market hasn't own CD pressing facilities. All CDs have been pressed abroad (eg. Japan, W. ... See full review

To be honest, this release is very rare, especially with an OBI, even in Japan. Over the years I've seen just a few complete copies (with an OBI and Japanese insert) which I could count on the fingers of one hand.

This disc is quite rare! Released in 1985 (no longer than) by RSA pressing plant in Alsdorf (an early full aluminum center as an identifying mark). I don't seen this to often, actually so far I've seen two or three copies of those.

The disc on the picture is not from 1987. I'm assuming that it was made somewhere in 1985 or perhaps '86. No longer than that. The pictured release was made in Japan for the US market. Occasionally perhaps it was available on the store shelfs in 1987, ... See full review

I am really don't know what is so special in this release apart of the GOLD plated CD and nice cardboard box? Perhaps because it's a collector edition? A friend of mine said that some of the tracks are clipped? Well...so far yet I am not able to find it ... See full review

It this is a GOLD pressing? I don't think so! PDO in the U.K has a serious problem with bronzing CDs. For me it appear to be a bronzing problem CD instead of a GOLD.

The pictured copy is definitelly not 1993 release. To my knowledge the first copies of the title nas been issued on the CD in 1988 and comes without bar code. That's the one pictured! A proper 1993 issue should bear bar code and comes with s slim jewel ... See full review

You've right! This is probably an early/midd 90s issue. Pictured Epic logo on the CD is not from the 80s. The disc was pressed in Austria by DADC and it has 'DADC AUSTRIA' stamped in the matrix.

The very first pressing of this copy from late 1983. I have no doubts! The disc has "MADE IN W.GERMANY" printed along the bottom edge. These copies are very first German pressings of this title. There's also a later pressing with the same design but disc ... See full review

Very odd pressing IMO. The disc was manufactured in West Germany by PDO under the Columbia House catalog number A2-81240. Probably was issued with Columbia House bar code as well, but pictured covers contain present back insert. Someone can replace ... See full review

This is the first West Germany issue for UK market! This issue was available on sale at the beginning of 1984. The disc was manufactured by the PolyGram pressing plant located near Hanover, West Germany. In my experience this issue is not common, but can ... See full review

I believe that this is the 1st UK pressing of this album. The disc has attached 'Nimbus England' around matrix number. This album was issued in 1986 and also distributed in the Continental Europe.
