why doesn't this release have multiple entries for years repressed. No way is there's over 5000 original 1995 versions floating about. Ive owned a few copies of this and they differ in certain ways like sound, packaging, vinyl thickness, center... See full review

Pretty sure the vocals on the B-Side tracks on this are Indigenous Australian. I'd be interested to know who and where these were sourced.

The promo release info on this point out the African A-side but nothing about the B-side.

The Brand New Heavies - You've Got A Friend

Ballistic Brothers dub version of You've Got A Friend (Ballistic Heavy System Mix) all the way. Leaning into that low and slow Carl Craig style, like on that legendary Incognito remix.
Envelope (2) - Be There

Be There (Reclusion Mix) is a late night weapon. The hypnotic vocal " Do You Want Me" is both sexy and driving, pushing you to keep moving deeper into the groove. If you like Bushwacka'd sound you'll appreciate the chords on this.
Orbital - Chime / Belfast

at the end of Chime who ever bootlegged this has a tiny bit of Belfast at the very end. Its almost a teaser to throw the other side on.
Lou Hayter - Cherry On Top

I dont think its possible to play this song just once. I bought two copies just to rock the 'yacht rock disco' break. If Moodymann had discovered this Marc Jordan sample it could've been an easily a KDJ release. With that said Lou Hayter knows her way... See full review

The B-side of the USA pressing is mastered pretty low which is a shame as this is a song that needs to be appreciated in the best way possible.

The sound of Strictly Rhythm!!! These are the ones that laid the foundations of this label. If ever a label had a Underground Sound then this label had it in articulated truck fulls. Both sides of this are great "Luv Will Make It Right" being the one... See full review

Totally underrated track. Hardly ever left my crate and always gets attention when dropped. Pitch it up a little and let it get the party started. The bassline alone is incredible then the keys at the end will justify you owning this record. You just... See full review

Amazing EP. Love it, especially B2 Love Meridian. Quality of pressing is a bit low and theres quite a bit of surface noise which seems standard for most coloured vinyl although this is more obvious than normal. The music is so atmospherical it masks... See full review

My copy has a couple issues A Side has a skip which looks like a vinyl fault. Bside "Peace Pipe" is pressed slightly off center but doesn't effect play, just tone arm moves left to right. Nice and loud decent sounding 12".
Community Housin' - Galavanting

Funky Transport remix has aged well. Broken Beat arrangement with moody spaced out pads appearing guiding the progression. Shame its the shortest track on here. Has a Bushwacka! vibe to it.

We'll Rock Ya is a loop track of The Doc - Portrait Of A Masterpiece. Very useful DJ cut up tool.
Stiletti-Ana - Stiletti City Rhythm Band

Only a slight criticism is its just a bit low on the pressing and i had to move my gain up a little. Other than that its an absolute Killa EP. Lots going on in all the tracks no moodiness all hitting highs of cosmic splendor.

Piano Lick rules. Samples David Byrne vocal from Talking Heads. Has this reverse sample twisting throughout this track. Holds it down nice and ticks along at steady pace. Simple but effect Deep House.

Could of quite possibly inspired MIke Post on the Magnum Theme tune. Has a really good percussive break in the middle similar to Lonnie Liston Smith's Space Princess.

A truly awful idea and sampling Pink Floyd and David Joseph - YouCant Hide Your Love. Was a fail from the start but this was out when there were a ton of bootlegs around doing silly things. Possibly one of the worst things ive bought and never played out.

Cane Matto - Taxi / What It Is
posted a comment on Cane Matto - Taxi / What It Is. over 4 years ago
A side Taxi still sounds decent. More in the Garage tip but crosses over into a breaks & bass resurgence, has a simple approach with some cracking chords and nicely used drumrolls. Wouldn't be surprised something like turns up in a Jamie XX set.
