Profile

Hello, I am a collector of mostly Italo-Disco, Synth-Pop, Darkwave, Minimal, Synthwave, Shoegaze, Goth Rock, Europop, Chanson, etc... I have a small collection of around two thousand records, several hundred CDs, and a few dozen cassette tapes, though I hope to grow this collection to be much larger over my lifetime. I am based in both North America and the Middle East.

I have recently started selling records through the marketplace. I prefer Not to sell outside of this system.
I am mostly here to collect music and keep track of what I want and have.
Please do not ask for mp3 samples. I have a YouTube channel where I sometimes post music (MyHairIsAbnormal). If you do ask me for mp3s and I do not respond, do not think that it is out of rudeness. Most of what I have is already on the internet and when it is not, I put it up on the Tube.
If you are rude or try to start a fight with me (in messages, the forums, reviews, etc.), I will instantly cease contact with you. Please feel free to call me out if I do something wrong though.

How I rate things here:
1 = awful, not listenable
2 = not the worst I've ever heard, but not something I will likely ever listen to again
3 = mediocre, boring
4 = fairly good, something I may listen to every once and a while
5 = great, something I will likely listen to repeatedly (although, I do have a tendency to be a little liberal with this)

The title of this track is completely accurate, or at least it should be.

"Strange interest." Yeah... I guess that is true, but it definitely has a very devoted following, regardless of what others may think of that. For me and for some other Italo fans, those occasionally "off" vocals are part of the charm of the genre. I... See full review

It's very hard for me to rate this record. It is absolutely terrible, but in the most entertaining way possible. These songs feature some very dinky drum machine action, terribly played and very cheap sounding keyboards, atrocious singing and all of... See full review

One of my absolute favourites. It seems crazy that someone put this in their "Worst Of..." list, but to each their own I guess. This is a weird, but great record. Weird because it is an ode to an escape artist, but the music itself is really something... See full review

Agreed. This is a really great record and the crappy singing is just part of the package for a lot of Italo, which is fine by me. It just adds to the charm. Very funny front cover artwork as well.

This is what they do: buy the rights to a handful of rare records, copyright strike everyone who uploaded the songs to Youtube, claim that they will rerelease everything, and then release only a handful of what they said they would (mostly as mp3s).... See full review

I actually like some of Miani's earlier singles (though sometimes his voice is a bit annoying), but this album seems VERY bland. After hearing the tracks on youtube, I probably wouldn't even buy it at 5 euros honestly.

This is really, really bizarre for sure. It even appears to be a gatefold with some nice holiday photos inside! It looks like his hands are all over all of the releases on this record label. I'm always amazed that stuff like this was actually released... See full review

How could any of these FlashRecords releases possibly be from the years that they claim (2007-2008)??? With all due respect to the artists, "Max - Everyday Boys" and "Sisma - Stop This Time" were virtually unknown to collectors before 2012. There... See full review

I'm also curious about this one. There is also a song called Come Vorrei by Ottavio Ferretti on Vidoestar and because these labels are somewhat related, I am wondering if this is a different version of the same song.

There are many kinds of Italo-Disco records. You have your overproduced money making machines, your classics by artists with larger discographies, your weirdly dark sounding stuff from the early 80's, your super low-budget and obscure 7"s by artists... See full review

In 2020, economies are falling apart and you think it is appropriate to pay such prices for ANY record? No, but seriously... suggesting this kind of money for a record is pure lunacy and it's dangerous for the marketplace.
