An album which will surely warrant a groan from a large part of DJ Muggs fanbase, Bass For Your Face is definitely different from anything he has produced before. Though I do appreciate and understand when an artist feels the need to explore new genres ... See full review

Holy Crap... That's all I can say. Stumbled upon this beauty completely by accident when searching for music produced by Emancipator, and when I gave it a listen I was completely stunned. This could quite possibly be the finest hip hop album I've heard ... See full review

‘From Bath With Love’ is so good its not even funny. The song opens with some very pleasing guitar (that almost reminds me of something Lemon Jelly would put out) as the song slowly builds, adding strings as it goes. It then reaches the main melody, ... See full review

The genre of this release has been labelled incorrectly. Though I haven't heard 'Da Da Da Da', I have heard 'Incoming...' and can say that it definitly isn't Euro House as it's been labelled here, it's dubstep! (rather heavy dubstep at that).

I am a huge fan of RJ, ever since I heard Ghostwriter when it first came out I was completely hooked and had near obsession with trying to get every piece of work he created or was involved in.. so because of this it really pains me that I have to agree ... See full review

I'd have to say that this release has one of the most consistently dark moods from any dubstep full length I've heard for awhile. The sound is akin to standing in the middle of a dark and scary woodland, shouting "Hello? Is anybody there?" into the ... See full review

A very interesting release this, I remember seeing it advertised on and just thinking "Wu-Tang and Dubstep?! It'll never work!".. Needless to say I was wrong. Some people (me included to be fair) may be slightly perplexed by some of ... See full review

This is such a strong debut EP from one of my favourite producer/ mc pairings of recent years; RJD2 & Blueprint. They work so well together I think, Blueprints flow and lyrics fit perfectly with RJ's lush, detailed, multi layered beats. Despite this ... See full review

This album will always hold a special place in my heart because it represents the moment I first started to expand my musical taste and further more; my mind. I remember my friend bringing round a compilation cd which had 'Iron Galaxy' on it. We used to ... See full review

This album is simply astonishing. When I first picked it up I think I was expecting a standard Evol Intent release, which at the time I believed to be alot of glitchy, heavy as hell DnB (which is by no means a bad thing), but I was shocked at what I ... See full review

I have to admit, I often talk about certain dubstep songs sounding 'evil' or 'disgusting' or relentlessly heavy, or something similar.. But after hearing this release I fear I must retract previous statements, because I can say with some conviction that ... See full review

There is quite simply nobody else like Buck 65. He sounds like he gargles petrol instead of mouth wash in the morning and probably busks throughout the day to earn enough for a quart of whisky for the evening, but I just love that haggard sound. I always ... See full review

Spor can just do no wrong it would seem. Ive yet to hear a bad, or even sub par release from him, and this is no exception. All 4 songs are varied, with 'Dirge' probably being the most accessable for listeners who aren't particularly into the darker side ... See full review

Just thinking of this album makes me sad. I can understand why Pendulum 'sold out' (which is how alot of their fans felt I think), but what I dont understand is why they thought this musical direction was a good idea. I mean, what was wrong with their ... See full review

Noisia? Doing House?.. Was my first thought when I came across this release. I know they had previously dipped their toes into House/ Breaks with 'Gutterpump' but I was just a little suprised they tried again after so long. The result, of course, is ... See full review

I love this album. Theres just something about Brother Alis voice, style and flow that I find very appealing.. Its unique, and he just flows so well with the beats on offer here. Usually im not a big fan of Ant or Atmosphere, but his production on this ... See full review

Disgusting, heavy, evil dubstep here. Which I mean in a good way of course. Both artists impress on this release, but I'd have to say Sook does the better job simply for 'The New Bleak' which is an astonishingly evil track with an opening bassline which ... See full review
