Forces you can get on the 2xLP of Technique of Relief. which is a much better album than this IMO (nothing against Berserk but ToR is one of the best albums ever made)

Tell Me Why and Waiting So Long don't have any Hirasawa involvement at... See full review

feel like that should be listed under format then. "doesn't exist but has instructions to make it yourself". what's the word for that? :)

anyone know if a vinyl version is coming? one of the advance singles was released on 7", seems odd this album wouldn't be.

I don't think this actually exists with this tracklisting. From what I understand this was just a mockup that got popular enough that the Legboot guy had a lathe made of it. From the video he posted the entire thing is only about 15 seconds long. ... See full review

This boxset is a dream come true. I got into Telex because I heard them compared to Kraftwerk and YMO and sure enough I fell in love with them. While some of their original LPs are easy to find, several are not (especially Wonderful World and the... See full review

The Tangent - III: A Place In The Queue

Mine sounded pretty good. It definitely sounds like it was recorded digitally, can't explain how but you can just tell. Not sure what the other reviewer means by auto-tune; I think Tilsson does use it on occassion but maybe not on this album. The... See full review

All 6 LPs in this set were pretty much perfect. Best sounding edition of these albums I've ever heard, not that I have a whole lot to compare them to. The individual sleeves feel a bit cheap but given this is a boxset I think it's fine. I... See full review

like a lot of people I assumed they'd peaked on their first 2 albums but once I actually sat down and gave this a good listen I realized this may actually be their best one. to me it sounds like a much sexier and modern version of what Genesis and... See full review

Mine has a few glitches and bits where the production got all blurry but I actually think those may be in the original. I am guessing this was recorded in a bedroom or something so I'm not sure how exactly this was mastered for vinyl but it is pretty... See full review

Pressing quality was okay. Decent amount of noise on Side A, some on Side C as well. Music itself sounded pretty good - I thought Free Fall and New Music Machine felt compressed but that's how they are on the CD as well.

I like the decision to put... See full review

Since it's not clear which side is which: the back cover has an island shape for each track, and those shapes appear on the record label. Can't say I've seen anything like that before.

By the way, the production uses some effects which kind of sound... See full review

Amazing pressing. This is how it's done, folks. No surface noise at all outside of the noise that was on the records they sampled. My one minor complaint is that the text on the labels is basically unreadable, almost as if nobody saw them until... See full review

Was a bit nervous given his last record wasn't pressed so well but this one is stellar. I think with albums like this you want it to feel like the band is right in the room with you and this one accomplishes that. It's more stripped back than Fear... See full review

The aluminum vinyl looks incredible. It looks like it would be real bumpy but it's actually not, the thing plays perfect. Dig the cover art too, it's one that doesn't really come across well digitally or on CD, but the glossy vinyl cover really shines.

When I got this I was pretty amused that she'd apparently scribbled a bit on the cover in pencil. But now I see that's just how the cover looks. Hey, could've fooled me.

When I'd ruined my first CD, I bought another copy, only to find that three of the songs sounded a lot different - "You Turn the Screws" had some strange choppy editing, "Sheep Go to Heaven" was the single version which cuts out a lot of the jam... See full review

kinda weird to make this a 2xLP when it's only 42 minutes long. if you're gonna do that at least include the bonus tracks. also this is a 45 which isn't actually listed anywhere. oh well. good album though. the band METAFIVE is all over this thing... See full review

I really like the Klark Kent stuff but a lot of the best songs weren't actually on the 10 inch. the Kollected Works CD is where the real treasure's at. now that would be a cool 2xLP RSD release.
The Sea And Cake - Nassau

not sure why this had to be a 2xLP, as a single one side would have to be 25 minutes but I don't think this music is dynamic enough where that would matter. its kind of lo-fi as it is anyway. oh well nice album, wish TSAC would incorporate this kind... See full review

They definitely boosted the bass and made it louder in general, plus they cleaned up the sound in a way that makes it sound a little anachronistic. I'm not convinced that's a bad thing though. My copy sounds real nice. Dead quiet too.

"True Thrush" sounds pretty bad on here, when the bass kicks in it sounds like my speakers are blown out. Dunno if it's the mastering or if Dan Deacon just layers such extreme amounts of sound that a vinyl record can't really handle it. Or maybe... See full review

I guess there's not really a good way to translate a continuous performance to vinyl but this blows up some of the transitions between songs which I don't think you actually had to do. The abrupt cut at the end of Side 3 makes this seem like a sloppy... See full review
