Except it sounds a hundred times better than the master tape-sourced official CD. The official CD seems to have had a lot of treble boosting. It's really a mess compared to the vinyl rip on the unofficial CD.

Worst SACD I've yet encountered. Bright enough to kill any living objects within 100 yards. Not sure what happened but this transfer sounds like Dolby was not decoded correctly or something of that nature. Not only brighter than any other CD or LP ... See full review

CD is clearly mastered from the Warner-Fonit CD, so it's still using the no-noised mastering that started with the old Fonit CD in 1991. This version is also heavily compressed. For CD, seek out the far better sounding King label (K32Y-2117 or reissued ... See full review

Quite sure if you have matrix which only says "518 738-2" it is a fake repressing. Original CD with this US cover has same matrix as CD issue with Greek cover, which is as follows: DPH VERT 518738-2 01

Hammered with compression to the point of silly. The German bootleg blows this away.

Channels are swapped compared with the official release on Fresh Music. Sound is FAR better than FM release. Nice and dynamic.

Much improved sound over old CD version! Tapes are apparently lost so vinyl has had to be used. Original CD version was heavily drenched in digital noise reduction and sounded dead as a result. The newer digipack version is a far better vinyl rip with ... See full review

Some important notes regarding the early CD issues (legit or not):

1. The "Electrola" and 1st issue "SPM" are very close in sound. They aren't mastered at the exact same volume but I would guess they come from the exact same digital master. If they were ... See full review

The Amber Soundroom reissue in original cover is gorgeous, but any claims from dealers that this has "master tape sound" are nonsense. Comparing reveals that it is taken from the Garden Of Delights CD mastering, so it is heavily no-noised and has that ... See full review

The Get Back CD (GET648) is one of the worst masterings you will ever encounter. Digital clipping all over it. Unbearably bad.
