I'm an avid music collector, and new to the Discogs marketplace. I'm a buyer only at the moment, not a seller. Unless you have something from my Wantlist, please do not contact me about buying from my collection, as nearly everything in my collection has sentimental value. If I do decide to sell anything in the future, I will gladly put it up for sale on the Marketplace. :) Thank you for understanding!

Gusgus

GusGus were known in 1997 to add/change lyrics to some songs for live shows, or sometimes have lyrics for songs that were recorded as instrumentals. Perhaps this is what happened? I own every release from GusGus, and I've never heard from the early... See full review

All pressings incorrectly list track 12 as Folk Implosion: Raise The Bells, but in actuality it is Sentridoh: Organ. Raise The Bells was a track on the same album (Lou B's Wasted Pieces:... See full review

But it wasn't. The original version was released on the Pleiadians Flying Rhino EP. The only 12" with the Lazy Spiral Remix (which is far better, in my own opinion) is on the extremely rare, unlabeled Alcyone 12" (... See full review

Re: Original Version - As far as tech house goes, it's okay. Pretty formulaic, but the bass line is great. Never in a million years would I guess that GusGus was involved, though. It absolutely lacks anything remotely resembling their signature sound.... See full review

Pretty much anything James Monro puts his skills to is just wonderful. I love this EP beyond compare, especially Medicine, Pt. 2. It puts me exactly where I need to be. It just might be my favorite track he's ever recorded. The entire EP is simply... See full review

I love the unexpected departure from pounding psychedelia ManMadeMan attempted with Cell Division. The album opens with a minimal techtrance vibe and progresses throughout, incorporating trance, house and techno in uplifting and beautiful ways, ending... See full review

To me, the fact that this was released in 1996 is mind-blowing. A beautifully challenging, complex and deeply psychedelic audio journey that was way ahead of the game. There really is no filler here; every track has its distinct story and life of its... See full review

I could have listened to 40 years worth of Mitch and Mickey recordings if they were a real duo. For me, they are the show-stoppers here; especially The Ballad of Bobby and June. That song leaves me a sobbing mess every time I hear it, yet I can't get... See full review

Funny to see a record company that deemed Deee-Lite's music as "no longer valid" in 1995 is still banking on the band's earliest songs. Elektra Records, you are the unfunny joke of the music industry.

I don't get the low rating. I'm usually not one for tribute albums, but this is one of the best I've heard. Faithful, fun renditions of Beat Happening songs (and even a couple of original songs simply dedicated to/about Beat Happening). It seems some... See full review

I bought this compilation in 1997 and have always thought it sounded a bit cheesy and generic, but I'll be damned if it hasn't had (and still gets) its fair share of time on my speakers over the past 22 years. That definitely says something.

I loathe this album. Madonna has always worked with the biggest names in the industry, but this is the point in her career where she dropped the "look what I can do" and started shoving into people's faces the "look who I know," coming across as a... See full review

It's funny. People were complaining for a few years how all of Darshan's tracks sounded so similar to one another. So when Darshan dared to try something new, everyone complained that it didn't "sound like Darshan."

The Hendrix cover, and Babe You Know I Do, are both great songs with that hard-rockin' Totty edge, but, for me personally, Cool Fool is the standout track on this EP. Bassist Byron steps up to the mic for a change, and why he didn't sing vocals more... See full review

The Only One was a song recorded for the 1988 horror film, Slaughterhouse Rock, in which Toni starred as the ghost of a murdered rock star. Devo supplied the soundtrack for the film. Toni's songs You Gotta Problem and Space Girls were also Devo covers! :) See full review
