I'm a collector of vinyl records. My main interests are 60's and 70's jazz, 90's hip hop, dub and old reggae from 1968 to 1970.

I think that records should be called sold out only after retailers have sold out their copies. But now we already have high prices when retailers get their copies from the distributor. Don Rendell / Ian Carr boxset is a great example of this.

And here comes another example of insane price hikes of limited jazz reissues. It’s not ”sold out”, some resellers just want to try how much they can get out of this.

My copy is not noisy. I have nothing to complain about

This is a pretty good cosmic disco album with some reggae songs. The pressing sounds good too. But it's nothing mind blowing.

Hopefully people who paid 500€ are still happy when the reissue of this, or other reissues of the individual records are confirmed.

So was Chris McGregor & The Castle Lager Big Band ‎– Jazz/The African Sound limited to 500 and then came the repress.

”I do not foresee a second pressing of the reissue.” Yeah, why on earth a company would like to sell stuff that people want. Jazzman did not ask 500€ for the reissue, some resellers apparently do. I’m 99% sure that there will be a repress or individual ... See full review

This record is far too cheap here. Come on, 1 million british pounds? Why not 1 billion?

Nobody have said that there can’t be a reprint. Why would they go through all that work in remastering and then sell only 1000 copies. Maybe they release the individual albums.

For You (I'd Undo Anything) is a great track. This is (still) a cheap record but maybe should cost much more? Private pressing yacht rock/blue-eyed soul. 4/5

My copy sounds great, balanced and loud. No overwhelming bass!

How is the quality? The Vitor Assis Brasil reissue from the same label was a huge letdown.

These price hikes are insane. This record was 20-30$ some time ago. Still a 5/5 masterpiece!

Have you received your copy yet? According to amazon.com it ships in 1-3 weeks, so it’s not in stock.

Not in stock on Amazon. So must be sold out then.

Sounds like they don’t have it in stock. So they will never dispatch it if there is no reprint.

Nice private press spiritual jazz. Let Them Live is the standout track on this one. It sounds like it’s from the 70’s. The other songs are ok too. It’s quite hard to believe that this is a cheap record.

The only expensive copy should now be the original 1971 version. Who cares what 2010s REISSUE they have.

Extremely low volume on this issue. Looks good and heavy vinyl. Edit: My copy is also noisy.

Well, some other Be!Jazz releases are bootlegs so I would treat this the same way. Barney Wilen's Zodiac is a bootleg according to his facebook page.

This is a pretty good late 70's spiritual jazz album recorded live at Montreux Jazz Festival. The cover is a bit misleading though. It looks like some 80's jazz-funk record.

This is fantastic pop record from the beginning to the end. So many great tracks. I can hear Air's La femme d'argent in the Garden's keyboard solo.

Just received the repress (21.95€). So don't pay those insane prices! This looks identical to the 2010 issue. 2010 written in back and there are the same labels & barcode etc.
