My copy is very close to this one, a red label, with 2 eyes, except with side 1 matrix: XLP44661-2An, and Side 2 matrix: XLP44662-2BE, in the dead wax. Also, no mention on label of "360" or Mono, and no arrows. Any idea where this falls in the chronology ... See full review

I have a radio station copy, which is by definition a promo. It has "The Party's Over" as "plug side," and both sides say "NOT FOR SALE," but no mention of "Promo" on the label. The matrix is Twkm-0979--2S.

My copy, with matrix "ST-1-2047-A5" in dead wax matches all of the aforementioned details, including the single BMI credit on side A, except the BEATLES on the cover is in army green. I'm assuming this is still a 1st West Coast pressing, but the green ... See full review

I'm sorry, I mis-wrote. The vinyl has the matrix of this 3rd state, but the cover is a trunk cover, with the PROMO typed into it. I guess i have a mismatched pair.

Yes, I'm equally confused. My copy of this record has the right Matrix and label i.d., and the 6 on the back, but the word PROMO is punched out in small holes, at the top right corner. Not sure if this was done as a common practice, our by suppliers and ... See full review

The Waynes were: Dennis Wayne (voice and drums), and Don Shelby (keys, voice). According to the Oregonian in 1968, they were the house band for the Park-Haviland Hotel's Top of the Park lounge, in Portland, Oregon.

Oh sorry, i didnt see that you meant the copyright was on the vinyl (label) itself. Sorry about that.

I have a 1979 reissue, and inside it has a 1967 copyright, so i think its just standard for the inner text.

Several of the online descriptions cite the reissue release year as being 1989. Can't confirm but sounds good.

Interestingly, though not mentioned in the credits above, the 4th member of the "trio" is Jim "Roger" McGuinn, who went on to found The Byrds. On this album, "Recorded Live," he plays banjo and guitar.
