I would have to disagree. This album has been in desperate need of a solid reissue treatment and I think this Earache records commissioned release is a solid attempt at trying to correct all of the problems that have plagued this recording in the past. ... See full review

Spacious soundstage and excellent dynamics. Vocals are weird on some songs (mainly on side A, wonder if the tapes were more worn). On precious, it sounds like the levels of the vocals change throughout the song. And on Tattooed Love Boys, the vocals ... See full review

Great live performance. Without going into too much detail, the record sounds decent. It's a little rough, lacks some clarity and definition. Doesn't sound as good as Live At The Roxy but it's definitely a great buncha songs to have live recordings of. ... See full review

I think this is an excellent remaster. Deep, hard rocking bass. Punchy drums. Great midrange with superb synth and guitar detail. Open soundstage, atmospheric imaging, clean vocals, crisp treble, balanced well. For a remaster, I find it extremely ... See full review

Digitally remastered but still sounds swell; full and rich. Clear vocals, though a tad processed sounding here n there, could be due to the heavy vocal effects used during recording tho. Still, clarity is excellent and detail is immaculate. Sounds really ... See full review

I'm pretty sure there are a lot more than 750. Like another commentor, the record stores in my area have plenty in stock. I think there is some confusion in the notes for this release. It sounds like there may have been a limited press done exclusively ... See full review

In the scheme of synth-pop and what was happening in music in 1983, I'm suprised this album doesn't get more respect. Easily one of the best of the genre.

Sound ain't bad. The recordings are pretty raw and have a demo-like feel to them which give the tracks a nice vibe. Joplin's voice is clear, focused and dynamic. Bass is defined and sounds good. Nice midrange. Realistic drums, though not overly punchy. ... See full review

I saw colored vinyl reissues of this record (as well as the self titled and grape jam) earlier this year by Sundazed as well. Did those also get pulled? Because I see no mention of them on Discogs.

Sounds glorious with punchy drums and defined bass. Excellent clarity and detail. Vocals sound a little echoey at times. Otherwise class A sound all around. Pro mastering by Kevin Gray and a flawless pressing by QRP, makes this a quality release.
