I have Bonzai Records (Bonzai List), Cherrymoon, Gabberbox, Hardcore, Happy Hardcore, Madonna, The Prodigy, Dance Opera, Strictly Trance,... and I will "check" and "update" them with the Discogs database.
My intention is to help and assist other people with the correct information, the one that is printed on the CD version that I own, rather than to give false information placed on a different website other than Discogs. I know that there are plenty of CD's printed and that they all have a different number, LC code, and so on. Those things I will not "update". One of the things I already have updated are the track durations of the CD's I own.
If I don't have the CD, I will not touch the information given on Discogs as I can not "check" it. I do not buy CD's specific to check them on Discogs. No, I only buy CD's that I like and that are my favourite kind of music.
Furthermore, I would to say that I still hate it that they banned my youtube account somewhere in 2010. The link was http://www.youtube.com/MISTERAMD It contained over hundreds of retro tracks from Bonzai Records, Lightning Records, Cherrymoon, ... and I always had the written permission from the DJ himself to upload a special version on my youtube account combined with a little visual clip that I made myself. However, as time changes, music companies changed also. They told me, after that they banned me, that the copyright changed aswell.
So a piece of music history got removed. The one thing that also bothers me the most is that a lot of people downloaded my videos and reuploaded the same video on their youtube account and it got not banned at all! Or they overwrite the videoclip with a videoclip from their own, but still with the same musictrack that I personally received from the DJ himself.
I still remember a specific Youtube rule that you may not download a video using 3rd party software and all I see on Youtube are copies from copies from copies. The internet got fucked and Youtube / Google does nothing about it. But a big alert if someone uploads unique material where the copyright changed.
