First and foremost, I've been a music collector for most of my life, also worked in retail music sales for a large part of my working life. Have been selling items from my collection online since 1998 from my website https://spinauctions.com
I'm based in Australia. Although I have items from around the world, the majority of what I have are Australian pressings. Australian pressings, when compared to their related releases in the US and Europe, were generally in limited numbers, due to the much smaller market / population here. This can make them harder to find particularly in top condition. Unlike some countries with 7" single records, Australian record companies tended to have only one issue of a particular release, which would get deleted within a few months. Of course, some major artists like Elvis, Beatles etc. were the exceptions, and would remain available for years through various repressings and reissues.
How I grade items for sale on Discogs
You'll never see an item graded as "MINT" from me on Discogs. "MINT" implies that the item is fresh from the manufacturer and never played. All items I list on this account will be play tested before sale. So M- (Mint Minus) is the highest grading I post. Unlike in the US, pre-2000 Australian vinyl was never sold at retail sealed or shrink wrapped.
I have a lifetime's knowledge of collecting Australian vinyl records to know which generic record company diecut paper sleeve belongs to a particular record. If I don't happen to possess the correct diecut sleeve in reasonable condition, I'll let you know before the sale is completed. So take it for granted that each 45 rpm record comes with its correct company paper sleeve. I can't always say this will be the case with non-Australian pressings I sell, since that's not my area of expertise or I simply don't have the appropriate sleeve.
I have thousands of items that have yet to be listed on Discogs. I'll gradually be adding more here as time permits. Message me if you find something not yet on Discogs but shown in my Discogs collection that you're interested in and I'll look to getting it added here.
Once a buyer has posted feedback for the sale, I will always respond with feedback for that buyer.
