It's a reissue. The first pressings came out long before the red B-Boy records jacket was created and used.

This record dropped in 1985. In addition to this record, the Super Lovers also appeared on the Hurby's Machine album "The House That Rap Built". And also, one of the rappers on this record is Playboy, aka Play from Kid 'N Play.

Pulled out my copies and sure enough, written in the dead wax on all of my copies is "Virtue 5/86" confirming what I said years ago, definitely 1986, and around 6 months AFTER "Success Is The Word" dropped. "Success Is The Word" is the first record... See full review

Red Alert did play this for many weeks, but in the summer of 1987. I still have all the tapes from that summer :)

Definitely 1985. Came out earlier in the year, spring time, like April or so, maybe May.

I have two different pressings of the original pressing. I have the light green labeled pressing, with the proper etchings. I also have a pressing with light blue labels that seem to have been faded to light green half way across the label. Same... See full review

Wow what a garbage-ass bootleg! And really, it's all about the two "previously unreleased" instrumental versions. Because all the other tracks are the album versions that were probably ripped from the original CD's.

Who the fuck made these... See full review

You guys aren't realizing that I'm NOT calling the original Coslit records release a bootleg. I'm calling the record with the bonus track on it a bootleg. Coslit records did NOT put out a version of this record with the actual talking heads track on... See full review

This record dropped later in 1987, and it's an answer to L.L. Cool J's record "I'm Bad". Listen to the bassline, it's stolen from L.L.'s record, and at the end of each verse, the emcee (Pinky D) raps "L.L. you're bad but you know I'm better". The D.J.... See full review

When I mentioned it was the first record, I said it was the first to use the break in it's entirety. Kurtis Blow's record only dropped the sample in certain spots, and didn't run it through the entire record. And if you want to get technical, Kurtis... See full review

This is Kid 'N Play's first record. They wrote the lyrics, and originally they were going to rap on the record, but they felt it would be better to feature female rappers since it's an answer to Kurtis Blow's record "If I Ruled The World" about Girls... See full review

This absolutely is a bootleg! Coslit Records did NOT release this record, and in late 1988 "Don't Scandalize Mine" was big in the clubs. Some bootlegger decided to repress the record with the "Bonus" track which is really just "Once In A Lifetime" by... See full review

The font is slightly different on these labels. I guarantee you that this is a recent repressing or a bootleg that they did a better job on as far as duplicating the labels, since they screwed up on the first bootlegs. I've had dozens of original... See full review

This was the song of the year for 1992 on Hot 97 in New York City. And in 1992 that's when they started transitioning from house and dance music to hip hop. With that being said, they got it right! This was one of my favorite dance records that year,... See full review
