This is Kid 'N Play's first record. They wrote the lyrics, and originally they were going to rap on the record, but they felt it would be better to feature female rappers since it's an answer to Kurtis Blow's record "If I Ruled The World" about Girls ... See full review

I have this on tape from late 1984, and I also have a mastermix from the Latin Rascals that includes this track. I need a clear recording of this because my tapes don't sound very good nowadays. If anyone has this recorded and can send it to me, please ... See full review

This absolutely is a bootleg! Coslit Records did NOT release this record, and in late 1988 "Don't Scandalize Mine" was big in the clubs. Some bootlegger decided to repress the record with the "Bonus" track which is really just "Once In A Lifetime" by The ... See full review

The font is slightly different on these labels. I guarantee you that this is a recent repressing or a bootleg that they did a better job on as far as duplicating the labels, since they screwed up on the first bootlegs. I've had dozens of original copies ... See full review

This was the song of the year for 1992 on Hot 97 in New York City. And in 1992 that's when they started transitioning from house and dance music to hip hop. With that being said, they got it right! This was one of my favorite dance records that year, and ... See full review

I can't believe no one has said anything about this record yet! "Rebel Without A Pause" was huge in 1987! I first heard it early in the year. They were playing a tape on Dr. Dre's Operating Room radio show months before the record dropped. And I taped it ... See full review

I wonder how many people remember Mr. X & Mr. Z when they had a demo tape playing on Mr. Magic's Rap Attack in early 1987 called "The Bronx Is Burned Down", a diss to Boogie Down Productions where Mr. X rapped over the instrumental to "The Bridge Is ... See full review

This record was pressed with white labels. But soon after they discovered they incorrectly labeled the mastering plates. The A-side was designated with "BSR 317 B" in the dead wax, and the B-side was designated with "BSR 317 A" so when they put the ... See full review

As previously mentioned, this is basically a dub mix of Roxanne Shante's "Queen Of Rox" with a little bit of the Roxanne Shante "Runaway" track added. Marley was just cutting the tape version of "Roxanne's Revenge" along with Spyder-D's "Placin' The ... See full review
