The font is slightly different on these labels. I guarantee you that this is a recent repressing or a bootleg that they did a better job on as far as duplicating the labels, since they screwed up on the first bootlegs. I've had dozens of original copies ... See full review

This was the song of the year for 1992 on Hot 97 in New York City. And in 1992 that's when they started transitioning from house and dance music to hip hop. With that being said, they got it right! This was one of my favorite dance records that year, and ... See full review

I can't believe no one has said anything about this record yet! "Rebel Without A Pause" was huge in 1987! I first heard it early in the year. They were playing a tape on Dr. Dre's Operating Room radio show months before the record dropped. And I taped it ... See full review

I wonder how many people remember Mr. X & Mr. Z when they had a demo tape playing on Mr. Magic's Rap Attack in early 1987 called "The Bronx Is Burned Down", a diss to Boogie Down Productions where Mr. X rapped over the instrumental to "The Bridge Is ... See full review

This record was pressed with white labels. But soon after they discovered they incorrectly labeled the mastering plates. The A-side was designated with "BSR 317 B" in the dead wax, and the B-side was designated with "BSR 317 A" so when they put the ... See full review

This was pressed three times in 1987. It first appeared in the summer on Citi Beat Records. And it blew up on the radio FAST! So when it was time to press more copies, DNA pressed them up for a second pressing. The record did not lose any steam and ... See full review

It is true, Tony told me himself during our last conversation before he sadly passed that the sound quality of the cassette was way better than that of the vinyl! We had a lengthy discussion about this LP and he sent me a bunch of cassettes in the mail. ... See full review

As previously mentioned, this is basically a dub mix of Roxanne Shante's "Queen Of Rox" with a little bit of the Roxanne Shante "Runaway" track added. Marley was just cutting the tape version of "Roxanne's Revenge" along with Spyder-D's "Placin' The ... See full review

Haha yes I remember when this record came out! It created lots of confusion about just what "acid" music was. The real house music DJ's knew that the B-side of this record was in fact, not an acid track at all. But your average club hopper thought that ... See full review

This LP was an attempt to resurrect the old Mixmaster Mike And Disco Dave record label. It dropped in the summer of 1986 and has some significance. First off, it marks the debut on wax for two rappers who would go on to have big careers, Rob Base, and ... See full review

This record has been bootlegged, and it's very rare to find the original pressing. The labels are damn near identical. The original pressing has "Mastered By Trutone 8-86" stamped in the dead wax. The bootlegs do not have this in the run-out, so check on ... See full review
