Don't fall for the inflated prices! KM specifically stated that this release is NOT a "limited edition" or whatever. Sit tight, surely Hardwax will get a restock.

Wonderful. Like a poor man's Perlon release.

Soul Capsule - Overcome

Contrary to what the previous reviewer has mentioned about the sound quality on the repress--- the sound quality on this heavy slab of wax is excellent. One of my favorite purchases in recent months and a record I will probably save a spot for in my... See full review

The timeless Detroit classic sees the light of day again.

I've just played my copy of the (2013) re-issue. For what I'm assuming is also an unofficial release, the sound quality is not bad at all. The audio signal is good and loud enough for DJ... See full review

Beautiful and deep, deep, deep--- it's like a lost release from the Prescription catalog. If you see this one in the second hand bins, don't even think twice- buy it!

What he said. Boutique packaging and limitation is cool if you plan on putting it in your record collection as some objet d'art to show off to friends when they come over, but I plan on taking the record out on the town to play out. I would like the... See full review

This one may get dismissed quickly for its rather silly lyrics and vocal camp, but make no mistake, this one has more dirt under its fingernails than one might think. Well polished, but suitable for the darkroom.

Lee Gamble - Dutch Tvashar Plumes
posted a comment on Lee Gamble - Dutch Tvashar Plumes. over 13 years ago
What a nice entry late in the year! Diversions is good, no doubt, a truly interesting deconstruction of mid 90s jungle/dnb tropes, but I find it more suited for at-home listening like a good majority of the PAN releases.

Dutch Tvashar Plumes is... See full review

'Avanne' is great--- it may even work on a more adventurous dancefloor -- it would be even better if it were released as a 12" with a remix on the flip side by any of the other artists on the R-N roster. 4/5
Andy Stott - Luxury Problems

Well, this is good. Sure, he employs the slow-motion thing again like in his previous releases, but to me it's a bit more refined, dare I say clean - possibly even accessible to listeners that don't normally like to be challenged.

And yes, the... See full review

Nice packaging and what appears to be good, heavyweight vinyl. I am slightly concerned about the mastering job on these records --- the bottom end just doesn't hit like it should. I don't notice the crackling noises that the previous reviewer is... See full review

Workshop is among the best labels out there in my opinion--- this and most of their catalog is pure quality, dare I say even avant-garde. Oh, how I can not wait for the 16th entry...

The Opstand side of this split is just devastating. Sadly, I feel that they were overlooked in the endless sea of "power-violence" (i.e. just plain fast hardcore) bands of the late 90's. If you see this record in the bins while out record shopping,... See full review

'Passed Me By' was kind of a snoozefest for me, but this, this is something else. Deep, subterranean techno that brings to mind scenes from Gaspar Noe films.

We're all greedy for more now...
