WELCOME TO MY VINYL RECORD BOX - a new and used independent vinyl retailer and mail-order specialist, based in Stoke-On-Trent, UK.
MY VINYL RECORD BOX was established in 2015 by Matthew Southwell - with over 35 years experience buying and selling records.
The shop specializes in stocking - HOUSE MUSIC, TECHNO, DISCO, ELECTRONICA, SOUL, JAZZ, GARAGE, PUNK, JUNGLE, FUNK, ELECTRO, BLEEP, KRAUTROCK, ACID HOUSE, PSYCHEDELIA, HIP HOP, BLUES, NORTHERN SOUL, MOD, DRUM & BASS, NEW WAVE, BALEARIC, SYNTH POP and REGGAE.
Each individual record is carefully inspected and graded in accordance with the internationally recognized "GOLDMINE GRADING STANDARD" - condition is everything!
MINT (M) - Perfect, brand new, never been played - possibly sealed / unopened.
NEAR MINT (NM) - Plays like new, shiny vinyl surface, no major visible factory defects - the sleeve may show minor handling wear only, no stickers, writing, creases, ring wear or seam splits.
VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) - Plays excellent, borderline NM, vinyl surface may have cosmetic marks, minor surface scratches or scuffs only - slight warps that don't affect the audio playback are OK.
The sleeve may have minor creases, minimal cover and edge wear or a tiny seam split - corners may be clipped or the sleeve has been hole punched.
VERY GOOD (VG) - Many of the obvious imperfections in a VG+ are more evident with a VG - scratches may be deeper, groove-wear visible and surface noise noticeable. The surface noise may be heard in intros or quite passages but will not over power the music.
The sleeve may have obvious ring-wear, neat cello-taped seam repairs, sticker residue marks, price labels, increased volume of creasing, minor writing on the sleeve or centre labels.
GOOD PLUS (G+) - This lower tier grading level may not be all bad - the vinyl surface may have an increased volume of scratches, noticeable surface noise and potential warping but the record will play through without jumping or skipping.
The sleeve may have a worn cover, seam splits, surface rips from sticker removals and more writing but don't be put off, you may find a record from your wants-list at a bargain price.
Packaging is robust, weatherproof and secure - ensuring the contents are protected in transit to prevent and avoid any breakages or damage.
Orders are sent using ROYAL MAIL or trusted and established courier services.
THERE IS CURRENTLY OVER 5,000 RECORDS FOR SALE THROUGH THE SHOP IN THE DISCOGS MARKETPLACE - with new additions listed on a daily basis!
