It's in last week's vinyl singles chart - at no.7, I think. I assume that's just from sales from the PSB website.

This 12" has NINETEEN EIGHTY HATE etched on the record.

The strings on Beautiful People are much, much more prominent on this pressing to my ears. On the original issue, you can hardly realise how much orchestra is actually on this track. When I read the notes and they say it's actual strings recorded by Owen ... See full review

How come the 2014 coloured vinyl edition are labeled as unofficial? Were these releases bootlegs?

Will we ever see a digital/cd release of this version of the album?

Agree with all the comments, this is a lovely package. The vinyl sounds great.
There's a small design mistake on the layout design on disc four - the placing of the 'Here To Stay' title is in the wrong place.

If you're still looking for this, it might be worth checking with your local supply, as I've read somewhere that the X2 vinyl releases are all being re-pressed in October.

Is there a new pressing of this?I bought one today from HMV with the barcode 0602547875549. It doesn't seem to be listed? It has a sticker on the front saying 'Remastered by Robert Smith. 180gram vinyl. Contains a download voucher.'

Have to say, the quality of these reissues is simply fabulous. The sound is breathtaking. Begs the question, if this level of sound can be achieved, why isn't every vinyl release like this? Are we buying substandard most of the time?!

This is actually 3xLP, not 2xLP, according to the sticker on the front of mine. So is the new issue of US as well - the So issue is 2xLP.

Thankfully this 12" is pressed much better than the white 'Super' pressing!

There is a normal vinyl version of this, cat no FTH257LP, that I have purchased today. I'm assuming it's the UK standard vinyl release, rather than the purple vinyl version?

I'm not sure the colour on this scan of the sleeve represents the colour it actually is?

My copy of this release has a tiny black 'Le de Tour france' sticker on the case. Looks like this is the Tour de France logo, used to promote the race, but not sure for which year.

Great return to form. The clear vinyl is well pressed and the sound quality is very good. Lovely package, although the 12 page booklet is slightly disappointing.

A very good quality pressing. Always nervous of coloured vinyls (particularly after the Jamie XX coloured album), but having played this through twice, it sounds lovely.

Fantastic new pressing of a classic album - sound really is amazing on 180GM vinyl. Lovely sleeve design too - highly recommended if you are a fan of the original release.

Had static issues, could hardly remove the records from the sleeves, but gave them a wipe with a sponge cloth and they seem to play fine. No issues with sound quality. Still a lovely package.
