Grading is down conservatively and with an eye/ear for details. I buy a lot of albums for myself online and countless times I've bought something from the most established and respected of online sellers and I will still be underwhelmed or disappointed with their grading. I make sure every sale is something I would be happy and satisfied with receiving.
Playback and audio quality are always the biggest factor when grading but the media's visual grade influences the final grading too. If an item appears undeniably VG but surprisingly plays and sounds like a strong VG+, I will still more than likely grade it VG but I will make sure to describe and explain that the audio plays better than it appears. I make sure to at least play-grade parts of every track on both sides and any potential problem areas.
My grading system is a pretty standard and modern adaption of goldmine but more descriptive and detailed and less narrow. EX/excellent is used in my system to describe an item that plays pristine and is visually flawless outside one or two very minor flaws or light marks. It's the very small border between VG+ and NM/near mint. NM/near mint should be more or less viewed as a MINT album with MINT only used to describe still sealed or new items.
VG+ will only have some brief and mild flaws and noise while you can expect VG to always be more than enjoyable and listenable with the music being clean and prominent. I try my best to avoid anything under G+ and even that is rare. But even a G+ should be a complete and still enjoyable listening experience. Occasionally, VG- will be used to describe something that may play VG+ or maybe the top-end of VG but will have a brief moment or two where noise will start to overpower the music.
Returns are accepted and I will always try to fix any issue or concerns that may arise. They are uncommon but mistakes do happen and if you think I made a mistake with your order, message me and will fix it. When a full refund is requested and a new return shipping label needs to be purchased, the seller will pay an amount equal to the original shipping price. Any extra costs will be covered by the buyer also it has been worked out between both parties beforehand
More About the Store/Me/New Groove Vinyl Club
This store is a culmination of my lifelong obsession with audio/music and the experience I've gained both as a serious and fanatic collector/crate digger and a high-rated seller on ebay, or making sales or trades with private buyers, or working at record stores/labels/radio stations/record shows/merch tables as well as being a musician and DJ too.
I plan on putting a lot of effort and focus on curating a diverse, unique, creative, obscure and uncommon inventory. Hopefully, that shows. Expect rare grooves, stoned rhythms and lost classics waiting to be discovered. No generic "classic rock" dead stock or dusty thrift store snoozers. This is for the people who always dig deeper and deeper into those crates and are always looking for the next sound to be discovered or rediscovered again.
And I dig the David Lynch pic for your profile
I just picked up a copy in an ebay auction. It hasn't arrived yet. But it looks like somebody made a release page for the vinyl copy about 8 days agao - Various Artists (3) - Groove Me: A Celebration of Classic Soul and R&B
This release slays. Some strange blend of ESG, X Ray Spex, Pylon and The B52s. The chorus into the guitar solo is epic.
