Amazing the amount of nonsense and pretentiousness you can put together in such a small text.

Love this record but this LP sounds quite muffled compared to the CD, I was expecting more mid-range being a vinyl and all but found instead a total lack of punch on the guitars, I added some trebble to my Onkyo amp (+3) and voilà! enough to open the... See full review

yeah sure people, pay at least 120eur on a OG press because this one sounds good yet the other one is just a bit better because it "kinda" does not fall flat... and of course everyone has 100eur extra to burn on an album that has just been reissued...... See full review

So, let me see here, you are saying that people should try to get an original press when this one actually sounds good anyway? a NM first press goes for around 200 euros plus shipping, if you are lucky to get one at that price that is in actual good... See full review

That sucks, yet the article makes it seems they sound bad, do they really? the guy says at some point there is almost clipping, but almost, so there is actually no clipping afterall. I understand the false advertisement but to say it is a bad sounding... See full review

Finally got my hands on a mint condition copy of this LP. There is some surface noise on the quiet parts, nothing serious. I assume this is no dedicated master, just a CD transfer, the vinyl itself gives it a bit more mid-range, but still, you won't... See full review

I usually praise Metal Blade releases and this is no exception, simply superb sound, THIS is the way LPs should sound, also no unwated noises neither pops at all. The album cover looks great and this got me thinking, I own this on CD twice and the... See full review

Quite a lot of noise at the beginning of both sides, even after a couple of wet-cleanings, it fades after like 30 seconds and then it's noticeable only on the quiet parts. Some noise at the end of side B aswell. Package and colour variation are very... See full review

He said it, "from the original masters", no remastered sound, all 6 reissues will have the original master, the 2015 was a remaster, just the packaging was a replica of the original.

It shouldn't be the same, King himself said in a video ad for these reissues that MB bought the rights for the original masters of the back catalogue of King Diamond and Mercyful Fate (so expect those too soon), these will be copies of the original... See full review

I'm so glad these new releases happened, it is simply amazing to notice how much remasters have distorted the way we listen to music, I get that for some records they might be needed but we already went way too far with it, now I get a chance to... See full review

Jacob, if you have a bad preamp, and depending on the cardtridge you are using (coil instead of magnet), too low volumes can be difficult to amplify for equipment that can't handle it properly, resulting in distortion on the highs. Having said that,... See full review

Mine too, it is in the most quiet part so luckily it doesn't really ruin any song, a shame nonetheless because what an album this one is!

Soundwise, good pressing. Package, kinda meh, the artwork of the album is already minimal, but besides that my lyrics sheet has in a white corner marks of ink from another lyrics sheet that was on top of it, they left them together when the ink wasn't... See full review

My copy had the center label of the first disc, side A, broken in half, like a fisure, one half a bit off center and the locked groove goes a bit into it but luckily it had no effect on the needle whatsoever, even more, it looks quite aesthetic it... See full review

Sound is great, the album is a classic, but the price of this reissue is way, waaaay too high considering the inner sleeve is just a piece of white paper with printed lyrics on one side and the label's flag on the other side (couldn't care less about... See full review

I have both versions (sadly), the corrected version has a sticker on the back with a new barcode over the original one. The new barcode is 0 727361 230449, if you see that number then it is the good one.

It's stated here that there is a defect on the 7" but I just listened to it and I got no defect whatsoever. While it is certainly not the cleanest sounding 7" I just didn't hear a defect on side B, just some pops, anyone with more info about it?

Mine had no poster, inner sleeve is super thick, I wonder if it was the same in the previous edition, because having the inner sleeve, the LP that's also thick and heavy and also an extra poster in the same jacket seems almost imposible.

You seem to forget David was the main cause of the failure that was that Ilud something album some years ago, I prefer Trey leading the band, regardless of who's singing.

As the comment below (or above, dunno) states, the label says this is a mini-LP, to me is an EP but I understand their thinking, it is 7 songs and almost 22 minutes long, a bit above the standard EP which could be stated it is between 15 and 20... See full review

My LP (bought from EMP sweden) came warped but it played without issues luckily. Sound is great, the packaging is very good too, sturdy box. The colour variation looks nice, fitting the album cover perfectly, Peaceville usually releases good stuff.

as with every other MOV release, they are not sealed per se, they come in a "resealable" (?) plastic sleeve, not sure if that's actually the word for these sleeves but you get the idea, just look at any other MOV release, same kinda plastic bag.

My copy says 2019, it is a reissue of this version. The sound is great and totally clean of unwanted noise. This version doesn't have any fancy inner sleeve or booklet, just the LP in a white plastic polylined inner sleeve.

My copy doesn't has too much noise, neither pops, lucky me. I would recommend to store the vinyls in a plastic polylined inner sleeve, the thick inner sleeves all the PF records have are awesome but they do damage the LP in the long run.
