now I want to hear this even more than I already did... do you have a source for Osamu Shoji being on this record? I can't find anything when I search it up.

I never know what I'm going to get with a Canadian pressing, but I can say this sounds fantastic

all of the new Felt remasters, on CD at least, are much too compressed, in my opinion. makes the music sound dull.

You might as well buy the CD if you're considering picking this up (they used the CD and Kevin Shields himself called out how poor this pressing is)

returning to it once more with a new cartridge, my copy still sounds great... still, there's no reason those other tracks couldn't have been on it.

I'm not sure what's funnier.
The vinyl release with three or so songs for all four sides, or the cassette release.

Track 19 also contains the song "Bands" after a bit of silence

What a drag. I say sellers should be aware of this nonsense and not sell them! You can't even sell this on discogs now! Bah...

$793 CAN??? What happened to the copies I saw for $20 - $40? What happened to the copies I see on Ebay for that price? What happened to the copies I find in record stores for that price? Embarrassing... did these sellers find out that some audiophile ... See full review

I wish I got this instead of the lame reissue (which is actually quite good in sound quality, mine just has permanent scratchy noises, likely due to pressing problems and the fact it's coloured)

I think the high price is because it's a European pressing. North American shop owners have to pay more for shipping and price conversion so they have to sell it for a higher price. Plus it is a double LP Gatefold.

I had a bad experience with this pressing. My copy came with scratches and marks, some worse than others, but the sound itself was distorted and the record was slightly off center. I'm quite positive this pressing uses the exact same master as the 2011 ... See full review

Underrated album and the vinyl sounds incredible

Worst recorded in the best possible way, you have to love how this album sounds. But, if you have a good vinyl set up, the original US smokes anything else.

Nobody cares, go get a blog Mark, discogs is the last place to post such obnoxious trite. Are you bored and looking for attention?

Odd, I just found that out! Interesting they used that for this, also interesting how different the LP/CD cover is in comparison to the screen capture... The Smiths had truly amazing cover art.

The remaster itself is solid and the packaging is faithful to the original. The cover art is nowhere near as high quality in comparison to the original, however, this goes for all of The Smiths albums. But it doesn't look bad, maybe side by side, ... See full review

Well, depends. I would personally ask for a refund, if that doesn't work out then it could be worse since it's only the label on both sides. There are situations where the music is the same on both sides.

I was slightly exaggerating. There are definitely pricier "relics" out there, but considering this is a sought after promo for one of the greatest songs ever written (on both sides!), it's definitely a holy grail in my eyes. The lowest I saw it recently ... See full review

No pressings have Jason's bass in the mix. They'd have to remix the album, not remaster.

The reissue is very nicely done, but the sound is quite different from the original UK issue of the album. The original vinyl has much more present instrumentals (especially piano and drums) while the reissue is more vocal based, contains more reverb, ... See full review

Not too familiar with the stereo version, which this is. But when I convert it to mono it sounds practically identical to the mono version, which I prefer.

"Good" considering what? You're literally getting the MP3 of the album on a plastic disc, but made worse so the record can compensate for an already loud, mastered record.
There's no telling if every pressing is the same either, I'm sure there are plenty ... See full review

Not sure if it's just me, but I'm a little underwhelmed by the sound on this one. It's good and better than most versions I've heard, but it seems like the original UK is the way to go... Plus that has a better track list.

Anyone know how this pressing is quality wise? I assume at least decent since the original Hatful of Hollow was spread over one vinyl when it should have been two.
