I bought two copies trying to find one that sounded decent and wasn’t terribly noisy. No luck. Apparently Here’s Too Taking It Easy is the same. With this band I think you just need to stick to CDs.

The record does play quietly, of course one hopes that means it has much more dynamic headroom than other editions. To me it sounds wonderful. The pressing is flat and no surface noise and sounds magnificent with what seems to me really well done ... See full review

My pressing is immaculate and the sound is absolutely stunning. Wow.

The sound quality seems pretty decent. The pressing quality however is poor, at least for mine. White vinyl so I can even see the dirt and flecks that have been pressed into the record. Odd noises and squelching sounds come through the music. Even ... See full review

I have to agree, sounds pretty flat and one dimensional. Don't think this is an improvement over the CD, actually sounds a bit worse in my opinion.

What a magnificent album and final statement. It is just magnificent. I don't know how the vinyl compares to the CD but can say that it does sound absolutely fantastic.

I've bought multiple editions of this album. So far this is the best.

Comparing this to a standard US copy I had (I got rid of it) this is just superior. It sounds much clearer where the US copy is dark, and muddy. The Nautilus is just a wonderful audiophile edition.

Yep, this pressing sucks. Surface noise and terrible sound.

Guess I got lucky, clean copy with no sibilance issues and no surface noise of any significance. VPI, Souther Linear Tracker, AT 150MLX. Maybe sounds a little dark sometimes, maybe, but overall I think this is a wonderful pressing and sounds great. ... See full review

When I did a comparison, this sounded exactly like the original CD. Indistinguishable to my ears. The original vinyl has a definite edge between this reissue, the CD, and the original vinyl.

2017 Analog Spark is a fantastic reissue, better than the CD for sure. Can't compare to original LP but can't see how it could be anything but just as good. Definitely worth the price of admission.

I can live without the gatefold (but that is just me...). Have to concur, it sounds great and is worth the money.

I am playing this copy with another audiophile buddy comparing it to a 2014 reissue, and we both don't understand how anyone prefers the new 2014 copy unless they are over 50 and their high frequency hearing is shot and the boosted treble on the reissue ... See full review

I have a copy, playing as I write this. No skips but in quiet passages sounds like a television after the network signed off. NOT worth the money if many others are like this. It is pretty bad, I can hear it even with the first part of Sanctified ... See full review
