Scritti Politti - Cupid & Psyche 85

@ wizzlewessel: I think it might reference an unused image by Duchamp originally intended for a Vogue cover, titled "Genre Allegory (George Washington)" [1943]. Apparently, Vogue thought it too risqué and rejected it. It was then bought by André Breton.

Furthermore, "Clubscene" seems to be a cover of "Clubscene Popscene" by Hiem.

Huh, "Betrayed" and "The Sign" are the low points of the album for me; the rest is actually pretty decent, with "Louise", "The Lebanon" and "Life on Your Own" being the highlights. Just goes to show once more that there's no accounting for taste.

"One request to the label: Please press the other four album tracks from the digital version, too!"

It's actually just three tracks in total, two of which are versions of "Transfixion", so basically two different tunes. They *are* good though.

It's a solo tune by Hamo, you can check it out on this mix: http://www.gomma.de/2014/09/29/gomma-podcast-117-rhode-brown/ (first track).

Alien civilizations will have weird, creepy nose-hole sex with this track playing in the background.

I already do.

I agree, as does the info on the disk itself. Can someone with a little time on their hands change this?
Sound Synthesis - Let The Music Flow
posted a review of Sound Synthesis - Let The Music Flow. about 1 year ago
Your observation, while quite astute, is not entirely mathematically correct: only four of the nine tracks in total on this album ("Hidden Realms", "I Guess", "Motor Space Maps", and "Back in Time") were featured on the two previous EP's, so it's... See full review

Yes, it's track no. 10 on "Musik, ok!". Enjoy.
Btw., Sergej also has some newer tunes out on Bandcamp, which aren't listed here. All really good stuff, check it out.

I only have CD 2 of this; should anyone be willing to sell CD 1 and/or the case, hit me up. Thanks!

There are two tracks by Leandro Fresco on this! (They're both good, but "El abismo" is where it's at IMHO.)

"Across the Border"? "Believe Me Now"? "Confusion"? "Strange Magic"? "The Diary of Horace Wimp"?

I strongly disagree with those discarding the rest of the album in favor of "Max". While the latter is arguably the "hit" of the record and one of my most favorite pieces of music, the sound design of the rest of this album is just out of this world.... See full review

I had the same problem, but I emailed them again last week asking for a refund, and they shipped the double CD with a complimentary CD by Regular Citizen and a keychain for the inconvenience (without me asking for anything), which I found a very nice... See full review

It's The Black Dog, singular, not The Black Dogs. Just like it's Aphex Twin, not Aphex Twins.

The title of Rammstein - "Heirate Mich" is spelled incorrectly, but I don't know how to edit a "Various Artist" Master Release.

The EP's title is "Goloka Dhama", but the title track is titled "Goloko Dhama"; maybe a mistake?

I was perplexed when I read this because I've always been convinced that he's actually saying "the safe thing's not working". Turns out I have the version with the "Safe Sex 7'' Version" on it. I never realized there were two versions with different lyrics. See full review

Disagree. These tracks are to be played at 33 1/3, so yes, they're on the slow side, but I don't see how that's a bad thing. Very deep and soulful music, especially the B side with its hypnotic cosmic flair. Generic? Surely not. Maybe you're just not... See full review

No less than a milestone! While Vladislav Delay claimed this dubby house-not-house record was a failure, fans begged to differ. It has an outlandish, dreamy quality that he never achieved in any of his later records in this intensity. Still the best... See full review

I totally agree! When it comes to favourites, Serti not only is the best track on this record, it also rates very high in my all-time faves. An incredible stubborn stomper, combining the dubby trademark "Luomo"-swing with a blend of scandinavian... See full review

The cradle of micro-house. Crucial at the time and still quite astonishing.

Blumfeld - Status Quo Vadis

Tausend Tränen Tief/Loverboy Mix is actually a mash-up from a time when mash-ups were not yet the craze. DJ Koze plays Loverboy on "normal" speed and blends it with a pitched-up mickey-mousey version of the Blumfeld song, creating simple disco magic.... See full review
