I grew up listening to mostly jazz, Sinatra style and big band from the music my dad owned. When I left home in the early 70's I moved to what I would term classic rock and pop with an occasional hard rock album. But even then I gravitated to the likes of Santana with the horns and saxs. My library disappeared in the mid 80's in a divorce but not before I recorded every note. Since that time I have collected all the vinyl I could get my hands on from flea markets, garage sales and thrift stores. I have digitized over 20,000 songs. My genres cover most of the popular ones that appeal to most baby boomers. I find that jazz is my number one go to music. I am starting to pick up select vinyl with the hard bop, bebop sound. When I am at work I am listening to internet radio Jazz station KRTU from San Antonio , TX.. Since I do not have a place to operate a great stereo system and store my current 1500 albums and cd's I am starting to list them here on Discogs. Hopefully I will have some great ones to pass along.
Before coming over to Discogs I had listened to all my recordings and play graded them. I made notes of visual and audible issues of the record and made notes of the cover condition. I did not however make any notes on record sleeve or inserts. If at any time a buyer needs me to pull an album to verify any requested details I will be more than happy to get the details. Also many of my very best records that had no issues were rated EX(excellent). Since Discogs doesn't have this rating I have used a VG+ rating. So what you will find are VG+ ratings without notes(my EX, records or (not mint)) and VG+ ratings with notes ( my EX-, VG++ and VG+). I only list a VG or Good if I feel it is collectible or someone wants to run a software program to clean up the pops and clicks like I did. I am always open to selling lots at a discount. Since I have digitized my collection I will offer any purchaser the option of adding a digital copy of the purchases for archiving(back-up due to loss or damage).
