I do not see anywhere that states this release was done from original master tapes. Even on the label's website, the description for this release does not state this, therefore I do not believe it to be done from the original master tapes. A remastered ... See full review

If you play the sound sample on Soundcloud you can hear a slight distortion at 1:50ish. That does sound like tape imperfection. Maybe what you are talking about. And another time at 2:41ish ... See full review

I just discovered one of my copies has Side 2 on both sides! Anyone else?

After obtaining an original pressing (grey label), I much prefer the original to this 2017 reissue/remaster. Much warmer and balanced than the more tinny remaster. The vocals on the remaster are very sibilant where as they are smooth and much more ... See full review

Spanish jazz beauty out of France. Lots to enjoy on this album; flamenco touches with handclaps, percussion, and of course flamenco style guitar work. Lovely vocal bits, soprano sax, and flute interludes round out this relaxing album. Seems to be unknown ... See full review

Superb pressing! I would bet this betters the original pressing. All around top release & big recommendation for disco heads.

I would imagine you are referring to the rough way the album was recorded and not the actual pressing quality of the vinyl record. You can hear lots of crackle, static, and other artifacts in the digital version of this album on bandcamp, which indicates ... See full review

Very strong inaugural release! I wouldn't hesitate to pick this up. Hand stamped paper sleeve and sticker included in the white card sleeve.

Fightin' Jane is a song about Chicago's first & only female Mayor, Jane Byrne.

My copy is quite noisy, even after giving it a proper machine clean. The nature of Tom Noble's productions are usually not hermetically clean but still disappointed every time a new disc has noise that survives a deep clean.

Yeah, just noticed this and wondered why they chose to repress myself.

That label is all glitz and no glamour. Countless titles that many have been waiting on to be reissued, yet most are mediocre vinyl rips with minimal presentation. Odion Iruoje and his label Odion Livingstone are the real deal. And the superb quality of ... See full review

Burning Jungle was the most alluring track to me too, but unfortunately on the 45 it sounds almost too harsh to enjoy.

Montreal Main is a monumental track. Very big drums on this track along with deep vocals about spiritual questing. Worth the purchase for this track alone. Hopefully Invisible City will reissue this track or album in addition to Keyboard Fantasies.

That's 20 EURO + shipping from Invisible City. They have switched from CAD to USD and now are EUR, for those keeping track.

Sadly this is one of the worst pressings I've heard in a while. Very high noise floor and many pops, clicks. Almost sounds like a very clean victrola record. I can't speak for the source quality, but there is no way the original LPs sound this rough. I'm ... See full review

Ivory Fantasy #1 is one fantastic track; only released on this compilation.

Reconciliation and Let's Go Home are the jams on this. Heavy sax over an upbeat disco/boogie rhythm with English vocals that sound foreign. Certainly gets me going.

Anyone's B-side especially noisy (mostly left channel)? Noticeable from the jump, especially during run-in/out but continues throughout. Love the music though, both sides.

Noticed quite a few dimples on my copy of this gold pressing. They don't seem to affect playback however as both sides sound really good.

Anyone else think "Music" sounds bad for a remaster (even if from vinyl) ? It might be a pressing issue as it's the last track on that side.

For what it's worth there is a numbered sticker on the back out of 200. It seems like Music Gallery Recordings put out 300 in black and 200 in gold. What I'm unsure about is if both releases are remastered as the remastering info is only listed on the ... See full review
