One of my personal all-time favourite techno albums. Just lush. An absolute classic.

Quick (and probably stupid) question: are the track 'titles' on the vinyl the BPMs?

I have two copies of this, one in the white tissue sleeve pictured, and one in a black tissue sleeve. Both have the name, track listing etc printed on the sleeve

Just got my hands on the third pressing of this: clear vinyl + black/gold blobs + white & black/gold splatters.
Brilliant again, Tom. Thanks mate :)

Lush Forest Drive West remix of The Fifth Planet, really beautiful version of an already gorgeous tune. Cracking EP, all round.

Brilliant reissue of the DJAX classic, with the glitch removed. Nice pressing, too. Loud and clean.

My copy of this has ‘Interlude For Strings’ on the cover, not ‘Encore!’, but the track listing on the cover is the same as this.

Note, the track listing on the vinyl does not match that on the sleeve. ‘Blue Moon’ is A5 not ‘That Old Black Magic’

My version of RDM53 has red writing on a gold label, and the font / typeface is different from the release pictured here.

You bugger! ;) I desperately want to get this album. Sadly, the bank account won't allow £80! lol

For me, this is Stephen Brown's finest – and one of the best Djax releases.

Nice references to Larry Heard towards the end of Phonatacid, too.

Totally agree with Filtona below. 'How I Feel' is absolutely gorgeous. Spine-tinglingly lush deep techno.

Incredibly atmospheric album – gorgeous, subtle, intelligent techno. Love it.

Love Bring Dat so much. The dirty filthy baseline with MC Fats' soulful vocal hits. Top top tune.

Totally agree. I remember playing this (on vinyl) when I first got it and reading the booklet while listening to the tracks. Incredible stuff. Sadly, I've long since lost the booklet. But it's still a wonderful album.

Yep, mine includes CD and signed poster. Think these were a very limited number available direct from Music Mondays

Superb EP from Luke Vibert. And ridiculously cheap at the moment, too!

Great EP. Love the atmospheric acid on Intrinsic and Little Gold Sparkles. The chords at the beginning of Little Gold Sparkles remind me of Jessie Deep's 'Till You Die' (Lost Tracks Vol 3)

Amazing proper old skool acid. Love this and volume 1. Remember picking both up on vinyl at the time and playing them over and over. D-9-5 a highlight, and the fizz on Intensity Awesome.

Catalogue number on the runout of my vinyl is PLAYHOUSE17/A etc, rather than PLAY017.

Also, record sleeve seems to be inside out, with plain white card on the outside and shiny blue on the inside, with Playhouse messaging and Atari woody joystick logo. ... See full review

Nu Yorican soul mix sounds lush at 33rpm, too. Nice and chilled.

My version of this has the same UK catalogue number but the vinyl label is different. The African Love Records logo is directly below Elektra and above the words Shinehead / Unity.

I have one of those, too. Couldn't find it on here. Thought I was going mad!

Black writing on blue label, track-listing in running copy, and with 'Record mfd. in Ireland' printed at bottom.

Felicium is absolutely gorgeous. Driving, deep and with gorgeous acid phlanges. Along with some of the Nico stuff, this is a great ESP release.
