Profile

TOB! ET !GNI
As the romans once said "Ut salutas, ita salutaberis", thus i will tolerate you as long, as you can stand my character. What can say about me? Welp, i am a pretentious dumb dumb with an open-minded worldview. Surprisingly obsessed with different forms of art - simultaneously sophisticated gamer, goth, velvet punk, at times guilty pleasure appreciator (yeah, i like Night Club, Priest and Skold).

When it comes to music i tend to stick to the art of Dionysian principles. Melancholy and non-conformism are part of my second identity, but overall i think i prefer mostly alternative forms of music, even it's underground samples. Don't believe in any cults, idols or genre constraints, though, obviously, i dig all things goth too much.

Audio quality-wise i'd say, that i am pretty interested in all of these audiophile nuances, but with healthy dose of skepticism. Usually prefer how vinyl sounds (especially if it's 12'' or properly adapted from an analogue source), also love the aesthetics surrounding it, however consider it primarily a snake oil - just a capitalistic trick to force you pay more, it's not necessarily a bad thing, because if you adore not well-khown musicians you might want to perpetuate their work with this form of ritual. Besides, i simply don't trust CDs due to their infamous compression (yeah, even think this way nowadays), and, since you can obtain CD-Quality digitally any time, what's the point in it really? So i constantly range my music from vinyl, to CDs, Hi-Res or any other digital types.

I believe in indie stuff much more, so i also try to find niche artists which are appealing to me, meaning that my tastes won't be your seal of approval every time. That's no good, nor it is bad, depending on how close-minded you are to my gun. Either way, feel free to evade me or ask for Adrian Borland documentrary.

To be fair, Implode sampled other music a bit too much, but it doesn't makes it any less of a monumental achievement.

"Living A Lie" is the only FLA song i legitimately hate, it's definately not the one to recommend, not to mention rather lame at parts Eye On You. Implode, Epitah and Civilization deserves another mention, since it's the most underrated IDM/trip-hop... See full review

We’ve been born more than once for the Scorpio Machine

Angelspit is a very tough artist to stumble upon, to say the least. If anything, this album futher marks his most controversial career phase after The Product or Cult of Fake - the one when... See full review

Poe is an artist to behold, eventhough several questionable choices held back her full potential. The 1st album is incredible in the 2nd half, there is nothing weak about it in general. You will hardly hear such a blend of hip-hop instrumentals, funk... See full review

I haven't got the time to check out this guy, but "The System" song already showed me enough for now. Independent music production, death threats, satire against woke and snow flakes makes me interested in him even harder. Call me white supremacist or... See full review

- "Maybe it's too under control, too hardly post-produced" - that is a weird critisism in regards to industrial music. Also this approach perfectly suits the constant cyberpunk/dystopian atmosphere of FLA. If anything, Skinny Puppy's albums can be... See full review

Solid synth-pop, incorporating gothic romantics, underground clubbing, erotism and some uncharted territories in-between, while being their own thing, which i'd call "fetishwave". In spite of BDSM clothes on the band's members, there's nothing vulgar... See full review

Composed some of the best scores for videogames. Many salute him for Deus Ex OSTs, but i think his soundtrack for Splinter Cell: Double Agent is iconic mix of blues, alternative rock, trip-hop, and Hollywood-esque techno.
