And it's game on for VMP and 3 Feet High. Looks pretty nice too. Here's to hoping it sounds good.

Just curious: on reviews for both the clear vinyl and blue indie variants of this recording you have posted comments about the inferior pressings of each over the black RTI pressing. I assumed your comments were made based upon reasonable and often ... See full review

A repress in the works per Driftglass/Jazz Refreshed on Bandcamp. 1000 copies forthcoming. Dog-eat-dog as far as obtaining London scene Improv/Jazz LPs right now. Gotta live on Bandcamp, or at least roll through regularly.

These all look like ****. The hubris and greed behind a glorified xerox of a jacket with a needle drop or CD burn stuck inside on crumb-bum poorly pressed wax with labels that don't have to do with nothing is pretty disgusting. Some people on Discogs get ... See full review

Great assessment - I totally agree. Firecracker went above and beyond with this title; worth seeking out, spending time listening too, and admiring in the hand and on the shelf.

Lillith, GZ, extra tracks, Russian Pressing and 400 for sale on discogs alone... What could go wrong.

I would love to hear a full-length of some kind from Takuya Matsumoto; I think it could be really special.

My copy is dead silent: no snap, crackle, or pop - I just power the amp down before I drop the needle - sounds like ant jazz.

...Jesus the state of pressing quality on new releases over the last few year couldn't be more abysmal. Super beautiful ... See full review

Strange: I usually have great luck with them. I ordered one too - same day 12/7. Got a shipping confirmation on 12/7/18 dated 12/8 receipt of order but now the actual order appears to be erased from my account history on the website and no debit occurred ... See full review

You have rearranged the intent of my comment with your paraphrasing. Fwiw, I bought my own copy at FE: you won't see me selling it at $200.00 any time soon. I set about to comment on the regular and rabid inclination common on discogs whereby every ... See full review

Repress no longer available at juno for cheap (support the sharks).

Aside: this whole "don't support the sharks" thing is a bit old and wan; at present with the exception of two sellers nobody is trying to make a killing on this title on discogs. I know ... See full review

Yes! In terms of bang for your buck this title is so hard to beat. Insanlar A side is a meal in itself, then you get Villalobos turning it inside out twice; the packaging and art design is beautiful too: full color reverse with an insert, then an ... See full review

The current CRAZE for the LP format provides a strong incentive for a lot of these gray label/boot pressings of material that is either extremely expensive/esoteric/rare, and/or was originally released on small CD labels. A borderline frenzy for the ... See full review

Ominous... the world's most unmusically savvy bootleggers invest their energy booting a bomb of an album that U2 couldn't give away free in everybody's phone one morning. Sounds like a job for the Keystone Cops to investigate.

For a GZ pressing it sounds like you made out well. Try grit, footprints, pubic hairs, indiscernible detritus, and comically wobbly platters. "Scratched" pfftttt....

This is one heavy record. Angola, Louisiana transmits hard truths in a way that few other than Gil Scott-Heron could do. So thankful that this man made his music.

No son, use 3M painters tape (the blue stuff) - that or gaffing tape. Both are more expensive than the duct tape, but they don't leave a residue on the jackets and they still hide the naughty parts of your precious vinyls from the prying eyes of your ... See full review

That's too bad. The hype sticker reads like it's on point and then the pedigree flies off a cliff when it comes time to mention where the record is pressed. Roll the dice: Optimal/GZ/Pallas/Rainbo/Quality/Out Behind Someone's Garage... I guess that's why ... See full review

Agree with removing records from sleeve for mail-order; mine got pretty mangled in transit, and I could tell the wax was straining the jacket under the shrink from the get. Not the most ideal packaging overall. Oh well, great music.
