I was already skeptical when I saw the cheap price that "Trading playes" charges for this reissue - I paid 21€ for gatefold coloured pressing - the "real gone music" reissue cost me 36€ for the same reissue (black vinyl). I read on the label "Trading... See full review

When I heard the Mr Bongo reissue of "Promised Heights" I also had high expectations on this reissue. I ordered it and compared it directly to my end 70s polish reissue and have to say: This here really sounds bad! The right side of the stereo image... See full review

Just received my original US copy and really wonder how bad this was recorded / mixed... the album totally lacks high end - there is not much above 10khz... if I didn't know that this is the original pressing I would assume it is a scorpio/rainbow... See full review

In my opinion Pure Pleasure is highly overrated - I have a few pressings from them that are far away from "audiophile" - they claim to be "pure analogue" but most of their pressings come from digital source... and are not better than other reissues -... See full review

My experience so far with BGP reissues, was that they were all heavily compressed and so was the 2014 pressing - flat sounding, nothing to compare to the original pressing... so, I am still curious, if the AAA treatment is just another marketing lie... See full review

The copyright owner Bruton Music doesn't allow any commercial reissues of their catalogue (anymore)... and it doesn't look as if they would be interested in doing vinyl releases on their own!

This is apparently ripped from vinyl! When you listen close with headphones to "Red clay" you'll notice a few vinyl "artifacts"... nevertheless all in all it sounds ok!
