The website "Metro Lyrics" seem to think they have the lyrics to Aikea-Guinea and many other Cocteau Twins songs, check it out and you'll see that someone is just trying to make sense out of Liz's un words, it should be stopped as some of the ... See full review

I can't believe there are no comments for this album!
According to Hugh Cornwell this album is the absolute pinnacle of The Stranglers oeuvre.
It is certainly an excellent album with an interesting concept and I think it was very far ahead of it's time ... See full review

Why is The Moon And The Melodies not in their discography? it's certainly a Cocteau Twins album, the only difference being that they got Harold Budd in on it too.

"The Ghost Has No Home" is a very beautiful track.
Echoing other comments about a remaster! Why wasn't this done at the same time as the 2002-2003 remasters? seems like a bizarre omission, especially when you consider it's the same label 4AD.

I know what you mean and I agree too, there is a clarity here that is much harder to find on the studio albums, a lot less "muddy".

I like to get opinions on which CD versions are the ones to go for with regard to sound quality? I'm not interested in vinyl but want to make sure I get the best possible CD sound quality.
Are the original releases best or the remastered versions?

Thank you for the reply and for your comments, it would seem there is very little difference overall in the quality.

I don't know about the quality of these reissues but I want to mention something to anyone who was actually there in the 1970's and loved and listened to Bowie then as I did. The records sounded fantastic to my young teenage ears but I've noticed as time ... See full review

Comes in a high quality card mini LP style sleeve with a picture inner and a 4 page insert with a small essay and more photos, the sound quality is excellent.
This is Bowie at his experimental best and is an essential addition to the '1.Outside' album, ... See full review

They don't look gold to me, they look like silver CDs!

The Jazz purists slate this album as being almost worthless, they couldn't be further from the truth because this is a full on, high quality disco funk album from Farrell.
If you like his other funk fusion efforts i.e. 'Canned Funk' 'Penny Arcade' and ... See full review

I think it would be better if Discogs had a separate section exclusively for live releases.

You're absolutely right!
I reckon Discogs should have a separate section for the live releases of any artist.
Imagine if you were new to King Crimson and wanted to check out their discography and you come across this mess!

These guys were a really interesting and unusual band! Certainly on a par with their New Wave contemporaries e.g. The Cars, Blondie, Talking Heads and Devo but they rarely get mentioned now, it's a real shame because their are some excellent lyrics and ... See full review

Joe Farrell made some astonishingly good Fusion/Funk albums in the 1970's i.e. Moon Germs, Canned Funk, Penny Arcade and Upon This Rock being the best of them, they really are top quality stuff and are certainly on a par with the best Weather Report or ... See full review

This is great fun, the kind of obscure strange concept that only Sparks could pull off and make work, and they succeed! Repeat listens are rewarding.

Track 4 is an incredible listen! I play it nice and loud on the headphones and it takes me away to uncharted places in my mind, very emotional lovely white noise drone beauty.

This has a sound that reminds me of a mixture of Kompakt Records minimal techno stuff and the Human League sound circa 1980 - 1982, it's a good blend and will appeal to any electronic music fans.
