pressing sounds like it was cut hot - quite a bit of distortion and sibilance for me.

I agree. Picked this up from Phonica in Soho, London earlier today; was almost impossible to get home without creasing the paper insert. Cheap, nasty design for a £15 single-sided 12", however great the song is.
