Side 2 is 14:98? That wouldn't fit on a 78, typo I think.

Beware of the 2014 repressing on CD-R, with the same barcode and catalogue number, but a different design on the back cover.

There is a 2014 re-issue of this CD with the same barcode, but a different design on the back, and more importantly, it's pressed as a CD-R, unlike the original issue in 1999.

Are all the CD versions in stereo? I'm wondering if the mono version has been issued digitally.

Looks like this one was pressed on CD-R, unfortunately. They usually only do this with second pressings of older titles, not first runs.

The LO series of matrixes was used on the Broadcast label which is probably who this was recorded for.

Surely 10 September 1934 is the recording date, and it was not released that same day...

Birth Of The Blues is actually The Birds and the Bees, a current hit at the time of the medley. This is correct on the Philips version of the LP.

I have a 1995 re-issue on See For Miles, MPO 01... @ isn't in the Matrix/Runout and multiple tracks have been changed! The See For Miles logo is in place of the C-5 one.

I don't think Petula Clark can actually be heard on track 1, they just play the melody of "Chariot". The title is presumably a tribute to her. She wasn't involved in the song's composition.

Petula Clark's publishing company, credited with Il Faut Trouver Le Temps D'Aimer on the Patrick Norman album, which she didn't write. The company is usually used for her own compositions.

The Clark is actually Kim Clarke, according to a YouTube video with the song, rather than Petula. Kim was married to co-composer Johnny Harris. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofrSHm8_vUk

The b-side isn't one of the album tracks though. The coupling was used for the single release around the world. It's odd that the album cover has been used and the catalogue number is the same as the UK LP minus the 'P'. So this is possibly an export ... See full review

3:01 on the compilation "New Hits '99" but maybe they did that edit themselves. Promo CDs on eBay are the usual single length.

The compilation "New Hits 99" features a 2:56 version of this, about the same length as the VHS promos listed above. No UK promo CD is listed here, but I do remember the version played on UK radio at the time being quite short, so maybe this was it.
