The mix / master on this is quite different from the version on the Captured Tracks Luna box set. Any thoughts?

Doubtful. As of this writing, WEA still had nearly a thousand left. Luna always flew above the population's heads.

Damn, if South Leo St. Stomp isn't a musical answer to Hendrix's Jam 292 or (Jelly 292, really four takes of the same premise), then I don't know what is. Really, some great jazz that isn't afraid to get it's hands dirty.
