The demos on this are worth the price of admission alone. Fantastic reissue, dead quiet.

Agreed. I've owned a record store for nearly 30 years now and I've seen this happen so many times. I'll never forget when Lemmy from Motorhead died; a guy in his late 60s came in and asked me what his Hawkwind records were worth. I told him I have no... See full review

Decent; recorded and performed well, the pressing could benefit from a better mastering in my opinion.

Same here. I saw him in '96, it was an excellent show.

Criminally overlooked album. Think 60s girl group meets the Velvet Underground. A fun romp with plenty of Leslie speaker swirl

Jimi Hendrix - Loose Ends …

"Turn up the volume in the, eh...ear goggles", I love the banter on "Blue Suede Shoes". Jimi's distinctive sense of humor shows up on that track. Not a bad take, even if Buddy was a bit daft on the direction. "Jam 292" is possibly his most under... See full review

This is an entirely enjoyable record. Jimmy James with Curtis Knight, crudely recorded on the day after Christmas 1965 and on another date a few weeks later. These are rough and ready club performances featuring the band's take on blues and R&B... See full review

The mix / master on this is quite different from the version on the Captured Tracks Luna box set. Any thoughts?

Doubtful. As of this writing, WEA still had nearly a thousand left. Luna always flew above the population's heads.

Damn, if South Leo St. Stomp isn't a musical answer to Hendrix's Jam 292 or (Jelly 292, really four takes of the same premise), then I don't know what is. Really, some great jazz that isn't afraid to get it's hands dirty.

My favorite ever vinyl reissue. The separation is incredible, still woven expertly into the songs you already know.

Seriously, this is a pinnacle.
