I can't check out the full song, but I think you're incorrect. The main sample used in Murder Was The Case is Santana's Fried Neckbones pitched down, Snoop himself confirmed that on the anniversary cut.

I was scared mine was too when I recently received a pristine copy. Cause when I had the record in my hands I noticed 1/2 of the edge was fairly sharp and to a large extent it was even frayed with sharp bits of vinyl "flashing" remnant sticking out!...
