We're a married couple in our 30s. We travel a lot as adjunct professors in mid-Michigan. We come across a lot of neat stuff checking out thrift stores, garage sales, estate sales, craigslist posts, record stores, etc after class or killing time while the other is teaching.

We mostly collect for ourselves and we have a lot of interests - Rolling Stones, early punk and wave, German Neue Deutsche Welle, Krautrock, musique concrete (and other early/Modern electronic/synth/digital organ/etc), motivational/business/medical-quackery type stuff. Armed forces v-disc type stuff, radio broadcasts (Casey Kasum amd the American Top 40 type stuff), literature (especially authors reading their own works), world music (way too broad a category, but anything that looks interesting), and a bunch of niches in country, rock, indie, funk, soul, jazz, blues, techno. and whatever else.

We list a few albums once in a while that we either have already or think others might appreciate more. We're also in to trading. So if you see something in our collection, feel free to ask about it if you think you have something we'd be in to. There are many things we probably wouldn't let go of (old electronica, German stuff, advertising/motivational, Stones, and certain albums in other genres), but for most albums we're open to offers.

My favorite of all the early Moog electronica albums. The songs are all recognizable Bacharach smash hits, the synth-work is wonderful in a naive, straightforward way, and the wordplay as a follow-up to Switched-On Bach just seals the deal. Anyone who ... See full review

This gospel album has some great post-apocalyptic nuclear fear-mongering cover art which, let's face it, is the only reason to get this album.

With Manfred Mann, Brian Eno, and Phil Collins, this is a great updated version of Peter and the Wolf. The narration is no Bowie, but it's fine given how rockin the rest of it is.

Their Kim & Jessie cover isn't terrible and Party in the USA is catchy as hell. Same with Since U Been Gone. But as this seems to capture their tipping point from the pop-punk perfection of Champ to the choreographed mediocrity of Forcefield, this album ... See full review

There are STILL copies of this up on their official web site. Please don't pay $80 for this when you can get it delivered to the US for like $25 direct from the label.

This is the Princeton Triangle Club's 63rd annual production. It's a farcical comedic musical loosely based on the search for Dr. Livingston in Africa. It's pretty raunchy and culturally insensitive, but as a product of its times and social class ... See full review
