What an album! Ludovic has definitely outperformed himself in this vibrant mixture of deep house, instrumentalism, poetry, and African rhythms. I just wish there was more of it!
posted a review of Funki Porcini - Conservative Apocalypse. about 1 year ago
Funki Porcini moves to ambient territory. Pure experimental music with pinches of trip-hop and downtempo. The image of presidents, kings, chancellors etc. is a bit confusing and not really related to the musical content - except the apocalypse term.

3.92 score? You gotta be kidding me. This man has appeared on every single deep house compilation from 2000 onwards. Absolutely f**king deep and gorgeous music. Dance, cry, love, smile.

Beautifully crafted deep house with plenty of soft female vocals, unique in many many ways. The music you can dance to, make love with, or relax while having it as a background sound. One may argue over quality variations in his albums, but Jay never ... See full review

One of the most original records out there. Completely personal, and developed in its own expression form. Strong - yet without rhythm and repetitive. Disharmony - yet full of composition and with a story. You'll miss me when I'm gone. Find a record that ... See full review

Speaking of relatively recent releases, ASC "Time heals all" is a definite landmark of electronic music in the 21st century. That's a record you could spin for days without getting bored. Full, emotional, engaging, you name it. A true work of art.

Gets better with each new listen. It has much more of deep house rhythms and soft vocals than the previous two albums. Perhaps a move towards more commercial music, but definitely enjoyable and far from being a weak release. I'd give a solid 4 if not all ... See full review

Cheesy, uninteresting music, with no sufficient content to be enjoyed and actively listened to. As if it has been made to be a background music for some TV channel on geography subjects. Boring, bland, superficial. What happened to this fellow? Did he ... See full review
