Mercurial World is a classic. This deluxe edition is worth it for "All You Do" arguably one of their best tracks to date.

Say what you will about the movie (it's a guilty pleasure for me and plenty of other people), but this soundtrack is still poppin' nearly four decades later.

Yep. The album originally came with posters. The hype was real until the negative word of mouth of the film came out.

That does seem that way doesn't it. Any time someone brings up Talking Head, it's either this song or "Once In a Lifetime".
Various - Waffle House Jukebox Favorites Vol. 1

Aside from a few good songs, this album is corporate pandering at its worst. I don't know what you would call this. Corporate "cheese" meant for Waffle House jukeboxes?

Anyways this albums is a contender for worst album ever made.

The Knack (3) - Get The Knack

A now highly overlooked new wave album. Remains a classic to this day.
If The Knack weren't so overhyped as the "next Beatles" and their second album wasn't such a critically divisive album, I think this album would be remembered better.

a.k.a "Everybody Must Get Stoned!"

I assume it was named Rainy Day Women as so the radio stations wouldn't ban it. Really great song.

Agreed. $200 is a bit much. I'd say between $120-$150 is more reasonable for an original.

I can confirm this as well. I only bought the iTunes release, but I also bought the original 1976 copy for close to $200. The original sounds so much better. So much so I might plan to create my own "audiophile" remastered version to release on YouTube.

I was wondering what that was at the end. My copy also plays into the runout as well. I figured it was the inner groove loop, but that's weird.

Life is a minestrone while death is like a cold lasagna suspended in deep freeze.
I have to say this is one of the most underrated tracks from 10cc (especially in the US).

Such a weird record. I believe this was supposed to be FOR birds as the phrases keep repeating. I'd say this is a good record for those hip hop fans/turntablists looking for something to scratch with.

Peaked at #129 on the Hot 100 in 1967.

That noticed that too. I figured since LGBT topics were forbidden back in the 80s, they changed "ram right down your throat" to "make you wet" to appeal to airplay.

Well known for being sampled in the game Sonic CD (the japanese version I believe), this song still has it going on today. It helps that the two main guys from Parliament (George Clinton and Bootsy Collins) play on this track.
