Really enjoyable album from Mogwai and a very good pressing - no dishing, no warping, no pops or clicks.

Beautiful album marred by a crappy pressing. Sub Pop = Sub Par. Every Sub Pop record I have is disappointing. It's a shame, because this is a lovely album and desreves better treatment than this.

I was lucky - mine came out with no scratches or scrapes. I've put it through my ultrasonic cleaner (and into a decent poly sleeve) and it sounds amazingly good. For some reason, this album didn't gel with me initially - I loved Space Is Noise from the ... See full review

Really nice album with a dynamic, clear and open recording. Marred by a pressing that's ordinary - by and large it's silent, but there are a few seconds of distorted noise on both sides, despite a few cycles in my ultrasonic cleaner. Overall, I would ... See full review

Great album and a really nice pressing. Zero extraneous noise on my copy and good depth to the recording as well. Highly recommended.

Yep - what he said. Sound quality and pressing quality both very high. Great music to boot, although not as good as Sad, But True which is for mine their true masterpiece.

This album is a stunner. Echoes of Nick Drake and Jeff Buckley while having his own stamp on the music. The record is superbly produced and pressed. It's one of the best sounding in my collection

Exactly the same problems with mine on track 1. Sound quality is excellent throughout the rest of the album, but track 1 is unlistenable. I wonder whether it is a pressing fault, or whether we've both been unlucky. Having said that I'm not ... See full review

Brilliant pressing. Wonderful mastering. Incredible album. Definitely an instant classic. Get the plain black EU pressing - it's the bomb!

Audiophile pressing. LOL. As notec said, United don't have the first clue about quality pressings. Shame because it's well recorded and mastered by and large. I've played this with 2 different cartridges, a Benz Micro Glider which makes this record ... See full review

This is a brilliant album that has been let down by a dreadful pressing. I've purchased and returned 3 copies, each of which was noisy (lots of crackling between tracks and in quieter sections) and warped - 4 of the 6 disks were completely unplayable. ... See full review

Agreed with Pcyrus. Far from the best album in my collection, but without doubt one of the best sounding I've ever heard. Easily up there in terms of sound quality with the Music Matters jazz represses and leaves anything I've heard from MFSL behind. ... See full review

Crappy pressing, which is a shame because it's a wonderful album. Lots of ticks, clicks, snap, crackle and pop throughout. Whoever pressed this ought to be ashamed.

This is the black vinyl version and sounds superior to the tri coloured vinyl. This is a superb pressing (5303052) and well worth tracking down. Not a click or pop to be heard on my copy - just superb music flowing into the room.
